Two quick questions:

1) I have seen somewhere that Ariel's won't be available next Feb, is that true? Does anyone know?

2) Where is Ariel's? Is it close to any of the ceremony sites, so I wouldn't have to use busses??? (This is a major concern!!)

I was married last year and had my reception at Ariel's. It is located at the Beach Club. There are two ceremony sites that are in walking distance: Sea Breeze Pointe and the Yacht Club Gazebo (the closest of the two).

It's been brought up off and on over the years that they plan to turn Ariel's back into a restaurant. However, it never seems to carry through. There's no way to know, but with the economy they seem to be holding off again.
I used it with my ceremony at Sea Breeze Point. It's less than a five minute walk over. Epcot locations would be about fifteen minutes of walking away as well. It's in the Beach Club hidden on the other side of their larger restaurant, so you don't get a lot of traffic near it except for some people going to the pool (not an issue in February!).

When my first date was Dec. 2010 I was told that I couldn't book ariels because as of Sept. 2010 it was blacked out. When I changed my date to June it was available.

I would ask because Disney always seems to be changing things.

I have Ariel's on hold for May of 2011, so I think you should be good! :thumbsup2 I spoke with my WC last month and he said it had recently been cleared (not sure for how many months, but at least to May 2011). I guess that renovation keeps getting pushed out! (Lucky for us! I completely have my heart set on Ariel's.)

Does anybody know what the F&B minimums are for Ariels?
Thank you

In my contract it says $1000. It's a buffet only site so you may want to take that into consideration if you had your heart set on a plated meal.

I spoke to my Wedding Consultant the other day who said that Ariels is now available until the end of Sept 2011! :thumbsup2

yeah the DFTW website has been updated to say available until september 2011 it use to say until September 2010...which broke my heart but now that it has been changed then fine I am happy :goodvibes

Does anyone have any pictures of Ariel's (not empty) decorated and ready for a weddings/other event???

KStarfish82 had her reception there, she has a link to her wedding website that has reception photos in it http://katieandmattsdisneywedding.shutterfly.com/565

ColeV your reception looks beautiful! These pics have given me faith that I can have a reception there and it not look like The Little Mermaid! That has been my fear!
