Get there before 10 and there won't really be a line to speak of (assuming it's not Christmas week on a non recommended day....)

It may be easy to get as a 4th FP too depending on the day and time. Also except for super busy times (easter, thanksgiving, christmas) the posted time might be slightly inflated. We went and the posted time was 20 minutes and I dont think we waited 10 minutes.
And she has a fish tail! How can you not go its the only place to meet her with her tail!

We were at WDW April 1-10. On April 2nd, the Thursday before Easter, we were at MK for 7am rope drop. We rode a few rides in Fantasyland and walked in to see Ariel around 8:30am. There was one family ahead of us.

We visited her after Wishes last May and basically walked right in.
