Is a reservation absolutely necessary for Tuesday, December 9 lunch? Not sure how tired/patient our almost three year old will be, so I don't want to waste a reservation spot if she's not in the mood.

We usually have to wait for a while even when we actually have ressies. If you don't have one, you're wait will be so long that the child will definitely be out of the mood by the time you're seated. Get a reservation.

We went on a non busy day this month and they were turning people away without reservations.

We tried to walk up to Ariel's Grotto for lunch on my birthday this past year (March 24), which granted was spring break week, but they weren't even taking walk ups at all that day. I'd say better to play it safe and make a reservation.

I would make a reservation to be safe, we've been able to walk up but more often we've been turned away without them.

Thanks, I think we'll skip the res, don't want to be charged if the timing is off. We'll try for a walk up and go with a back up plan. Thanks for the advice, I'll plan on not getting in, then if we do it'll be an extra bit of magic!
