hi - i am considering ariels as my reception site, however, they no longer serve plated menus, just buffet -has anyone had a buffet menu before?

i want the food to be quite classy but i am not sure what is offered with a buffet - does anyone have any example menus?

our wedding is at 5.00pm at the yacht club gazebo then reception at ariels.

we are not having a dessert party, we are hoping to have one the night before to watch the illuminations. do you think this will work?

Check Mary626's trip report. She just had a brunch buffet reception there last month. Her food looked delicious and there are pictures in her trip report.

Would love info on this also. We are considering a brunch buffet after an early morning ceremony in Italy in Epcot. Are also considering Atlantic Dance Hall.

Linda - that is exactly what Mary did! She had her wedding in Italy/EPCOT followed by a brunch reception at Ariel's!

I had my pre-reception & reception at Ariel's last Monday after a 9am Sea Breeze Ceremony. The food was AWESOME.

We did the Mystic Buffet Brunch which includes:

Selection of fresh fruit juices
Fresh Sliced Fruit Display
Fruit Yogurt Display w/granola, banannas & sliced strawberries
Chilled Veggie Display
Tomato & Mozz Salad
Caeser Salad Station (prepared on display) w/ chicken & shrimp
Omelet Station including all the fixins
Honey Ham
Bacon & Breakfast Sausage

***I substituted Mickey Waffles for Belgian Waffles***

Assorted Butters/preserves and marmalade
Warm Maple Syrup
Breakfast Breads including: Coffee Cake, Cinnamon Rolls, Bananna Bread, assorted Danishes
Coffee & Assorted teas

This was the lower priced option of the 2, the other one had alot more meat & some pasta dishes that I personally didn't like.

I did not look into dinner options as we were cutting costs by having a Brunch and that enabled us to have our Dessert Party at Lower UK.

Thanks KT27. I'll have to read more about your wedding when I am not at work. I know I have seen your signature around alot. You got married the day before my birthday. I would have loved to been in WDW for that (we were last May) but we went down for Easter Vacation Week this year.

I just love all the helpful people on these boards. Hopefully we can do something down there next spring or fall (summer is just too hot).

Thanks again,
Linda
