Has anyone ever seen Ariel in her pink dress?

I wish she would do meets in her pink dress. That would be great!

I ask because my daughter is an Ariel fan (big time)...and she'll be doing BBB and bringing along our rendition of Ariel's pink dress. I'm just worried no one will realize who she is! I think I'm going to make an Ariel necklack or pin to go along with it....I was also planning on bringing a crown along without any character direction (she's 11 so I thought it might look a little more grown up...yeah, I know grown up in a princess dress). Now after viewing the Princess picture thread I'm thinking I need to make it obvious that she's Ariel so she isn't disappointed no one recognizes her!

Of course, her twin sister is wearing Belle...but the Christmas outfit of red velvet not the traditional blue apron or yellow gown. So maybe we'll just start our own princess line if no recognizes them.

I have never seen Ariel in her pink dress.....I'm fairly certain she is only at Meet and Greet area and parade.........obviously at meet and Greet area she is limited to her clamshell outfit due to the "fin design on the rock".........as a father of three disney kids I have to admit Ariel is by far my favorite character to see, but probably for different reasons................:)

IF you are doing the BBB, depending on the hairstyle you choose she will get a very pretty crown in her choice of pink, white or blue rinestones! It is very pretty and we have used it several times since our BBB experience!

YES, please let me know if the winter dress for Belle is recognizable to CM's and characters in the park.

My DD6 loves the winter dress and they sell it at Disney.com but she would be crushed if people asked who she is supposed to be!

Both my DD's got the pink Jasmine costume to wear for Halloween and to take to Disney this December, but they both want Princess costumes for BBB and lunch with Cindy. I want them to get the dresses they want but I can steer them better if someone had gone as Winter Belle and can report the experience.

THANKS!!princess:

We went at Christmas time and DD wore here winter Belle dress (crushed red velvet) and she was definitely recognized. As a matter of fact, Belle did a meet and greet at MVMCP in her red dress, DD was thrilled!

Ariel does not meet in her pink dress. She either meets at the Grotto in her fin, or at Norway wearing a bluish/green dress.

Gee...my DH likes her and Jasmine best too. But I doubt it's got much to do with Ariel's pink dress!

I've only ever seen her in her greenish dress & fin. At Akerhaus in Norway, she wears the green dress.

Both my girls have been saving 50% of their allowance each week to be able to do the BBB, just the hairstyle and makeup, since they don't want to worry about wet nails, and they won't fit in the Disney Store costumes and like their specially made ones best anyway.

Does the crown come as part of the hairstyle/makeup (cheapest of the 3 packages)? They do plan to do the Fairytale hairstyle. That would be grand because then I could stop trying to find one that doesn't look cheap and cheesy, and might actually fit them! I didn't want to wait to buy one there in case it was cheap looking or too small.

My DD wore her red Belle Christmas dress to the Princess and Pirate party in March and several CM's (and other guests) commented on it.princess:

Ok, I'll have to admit that I don't watch Little Mermaid on a weekly basis like some in this house....but I don't remember a blue/green dress? I remember her fins, then the sheet when she washed up on the beach, then the pink dress for the famous "dinglehopper" scene at lunch. Then later I seem to recall a shorter dress that she wore or maybe that was LM2 and Melody, lol. I've seen the photos of the Green/Blue dress at WDW, but where is that in the movie? I wonder if they picked those colors so as not to clash with Aurora in her pink (just like Aurora never wears blue so as not to clash with Cindy?)

At DL we only saw her with fins.

I'm hoping no one mistakes my daughter for Aurora....she'll be heartbroken after all the work she's gone to designing this dress. It's taking months to get it just the way she wanted it, colors, neckline, etc. But she knows what she wants in her head and heart and I don't know if I can change her mind at this late date. I wish I'd seen the photos of her in green/blue before we started planning her dress!

We're doing BBB then the girls think we're just going to wander around DTD and/or MK, maybe do storytime with belle or something, but no rides, until we have dinner at the castle in time for fireworks. But....I'm going to make reservations for the GF Tea as a surprise. Tea Party has been a favorite playtime here since they were little, and even at 11, they still love to play tea party. So we're going to do it for real, with them all dolled up!

Maybe I'll make a sign to flash at CM's as they approach (Pink Dressed girl is Ariel! ) :rotfl:
