My husband has decided that he wants to try something new and not do Le Cellier again. I already had us booked for Sept 1.

We will be on the DDP so price is no object.

Which would you choose for a first night dinner in Epcot.
Marrkesh
Coral Reef
Chefs de France
Germany - can spell that one.

We like food from most everywhere.

Please let me know which one you would choose and why.

Thanks

I picked Coral Reef. We enjoyed it alot. But if you were looking for something in WS I would go with Chef de FRance.

I'm a big Marrakesh fan (although I usually go for lunch, not dinner). The restaurant is gorgeous, the music & dancing entertainment is fantastic, and the food is very, very good. There's some sort of meat pastry - it's almost like a meat donut - that is an appetizer and is very, very tasty. The crepes they have for dessert are out of this world as well. And there is an iced mint tea they serve that is delicious. Lots of interesting foods there that you won't find elsewhere in the parks.

I voted germany......
1st night in Disney.....It is a lot of fun....puts ya in the spirit

It's been a long time since I ate at Coral Reef - but just can't go back! I love seafood, but there was something about seeing all the fish in the huge tank and having a photo identification card of the fish in the tank next to the menus.

I've never eaten at France, but the CM's at Canada said it's a very similar menu at both restaurants.

We LOVE Germany - gets my vote!

We ate at Chef Des Frances our wedding night and it was great. Went back a year later and it was crap.

Marrakesh was a very welcome surprise.

I voted Germany, but it was tough to choose between Makaresh and Germany. Since it is your first night in Epcot, I think Germany will get you in a great mood to start your vacation.

FWIW, I always dine at Chefs de France on my last night in Disney. Something about having one last meal with a good bottle of wine makes a nice endcap to a trip.

I voted for Marakesh. In my neck of the woods there are German, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Mexican restaurants galore. When at WDW we look for something not to be had at home, so Morocco and Norway appeal to us.

We tried this restaurant for the first time last year and loved it.

My DH (who is German) would NEVER go to Biergarten because he can't stand German food; Grandma made it ALL the time on the farm and he's sick of it.

We have a restaurant just like Coral Reef here and it really wouldn't impress me much.

Been to both Marrakesh and Chefs des France and really enjoyed Chefs!

Chefs de France because we have consistently had the best food and service there many times(over your other choices) .

Marrakesh doesn't even deserve to be on this list. It is the worst restaurant in all of WDW.
If you like overcooked dried out food and rude waiters this is the place for you

We decided to opt out of our old, tried and true favorites this summer also. We have eaten at Marakkesh and enjoyed it...more than we thought we would. Don't enjoy German food. So, for us, the new spots will be Chefs de France and Coral Reef. We'll see how they work out. Hope I don't regret not booking LeCellier...my dd will never let me forget it if I've made an error.

We voted for Germany!! Lots of great food and awesome entertainment.:goodvibes

We love the Biergarten (Germany). We found the food to be very good, the service very good, and the dinner show to be excellent.
Although I was unsure of it at first, we have also grown to love the seating configuration at Biergarten. It's sometimes uncomfortable at first sharing a table with strangers, but we have had the most amazing conversations with those sharing our table at this restaurant.

Thank you all for your input. I planned on doing Coral Reef. Even made the ADR. I showed my husband the poll - his response - What is Marrakesh? So like one of the other posters, we have decided on Marrakesh since we have a number of worldly choices here in our town but not Morracan (sp).

Thank you again and we will definately be trying Coral Reef the next time.
