Argh!!! Blasted Woodchucks

Not one but two together keep visiting my yard and eating not the WEEDS (which I would welcome) but, my beautiful babies that are just starting to bud.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of these cute but pesky animals.

Solving Problems With Woodchucks

Hate to do it but what works are woodchuck bombs. You can get them at Agway. The woodchuck tunnels have at least two holes and sometimes more. Locate all the holes (they can be 10 feet or more from each other or very close), plug up all but one hole and drop the bomb down that hole. They are very destructive. But I miss them and would much rather put up with them than the damn fire ants.

link but, I live in the middle of the woods so some of these things won't work. I do have some of the plants they don't like in my gardens. I did notice they are picky eaters. I don't even know where their burrow is to try that method. I suppose once they eat the flowers they like they will move on somewhere else.

I think I'm going to try a live trap and move the pesky critter and it's friend to another part of town. They used to be not problem till the people that own a field before our land cleared it of wildflowers and tree stumps to grow hay for their horses.

Oh well it's what I have to put up with to live in the middle of the woods which I wouldn't trade for anything.
