Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the DIS, so some of you may not know me, sooooooooo I'll start us out! Oh, and please keep in mind that this is my first TR, so don't expect it to be turned into a movie or a Broadway or anything like that!:rotfl2::rotfl:

First off, there is me, Abbie, age 12! I know, I know, I know what y'all are thinking... "I dont want to read a TR that a little kid made"... and then you'll stop reading this. Well, please hold out, you may ACTUALLY be surprised. Anywho... I am a DISNEYholic, a LIONKINGfreak, and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ drama.

Then, there is my little brother (DB), Blake, who is 9 years old. He is like supero-athletico. And he is an Under-Armour addict. Here he is......Mr. Cool himself..... Blake!:cool1:
IMG_1972.JPG

Then, there is DM, Kristi. She is amazing! She is the reason that things work out the way they do when we're at Disney! She is the planner, the shopper, the "if-we're gonna make the 12:00 show, we're going to have to get a move on"-er, and then of course she is our lovely mom!
IMG_2042.JPG

And last but certainly not least, my DD, (no, this is not my disney daughter, remember I'm 12!) Brad! But, most of you here on the DIS know him as TripTime! He is the man-behind-the-magic......Mr. TripTime

Stay tuned, because I have to go to school. :lmao:

Cute start to your TR! I have a 12 year old son and a 9 year old daughter (who, like you, LOVES drama)!! :lmao:

Can't wait to read more of your TR! :)

I'm looking forward to reading all about your family's Disney adventures. I have a 13 year old son who is a Disney freak too!

Ok, guys, I dont know how much y'all know about TRing, but I dont know how to do the whole table of contents thing a ma jig sooooooo, I'm going to kindly ask anyone for some help on how to do this. Thank you guys sooo much!:thanks:

Here we goooooooo! (that was supposed to be read like Peter Pan when he flys off of Big Ben)

Soooo, I will go ahead and let y'all know that I joined the DIS this August, and I have been reading a bunch of TRs. This was just burning at me that I didn't have one to write, so this is the trip from March! I know that it is super late but, I needed something to make a TR about, so here goes!

Well, I live about 17 hours away from Disney, and DD enjoys driving (I know, crazy right? No offense, dad),so being the wonderful family we are, we drive, too! I have to admit that the trip is fun, but there is nothing interesting about Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Florida (except Orlando...of course). So, when we finally arrive at our awesome resort, Port Orleans French Quarter, we unload quickly, take a quick tour of the resort, jump back into the car, and drive off to the Boardwalk, for our Cape May Cafe ADR! Phew, it's been a SUPER long day now, but it's not over yet!:sad1: Well, let me tell you that it was soooooo worth the wait! Here are some of our pictures:

They even gave DB a small cake, because it was his birthday(okay, so we celebrated it 2 weeks ago, but hey, it's DISNEY)!
IMG_1876.JPG

IMG_1880.JPG

After we ate, we went and looked around the resort.

IMG_1900.JPG

While walking around, we saw some little ducklings. DB and I had fun trying to catch them!

So, that was our very yummy yet tiring day, did I mention that it was tiring, oh, I forgot to tell you that it was tiring, by the way, it was very tiring!:rotfl::rotfl2: So, that night we headed back to the hotel and got some shut-eye(at last). And they all lived happily ever after.:cloud9:

The next day, we visited Animal Kingdom. We had alot of fun! This was definitely DB's favorite park. Why? DUCKS!!! DB is super obsessed with hunting, especially duck and deer, so when we got to DK (Duck Kingdom, as we have dubbed it), he fell in love:love::cloud9:, again! This was his 6th Disney trip, and my 7th. Every year, we get reabsorbed into the magic. AK is no exception! Here are some pictures we took of the entrance to try and capture our excitement!

Great start! You family looks so familiar. Your dad must be blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Good report so far!
I have a 10 year old daughter and am looking forward to reading a report from a point of view closer to hers than mine!
:)

Yes, I enjoy writing these, although, I have alot of stuff that gets in my way, and I rarely have time to update! :headache:

Ok guys, sorry for the long wait, but all that matters is that I'm back.......

So, first thing, we headed off to Kilimanjaro's Safari, to avoid the long lines of our favorite ride at AK and hopefully see the lions doing something other than sleeping. We hopped right on a jeep and headed off on our 2-week trek. While on our trip we saw many animals.

The Reticulated Giraffe (you see, if you pay attention, you will learn some names)
IMG_1916.JPG

The Asian or African? Elephant (okay so I didn't pay THAT much attention)
IMG_1918.JPG

The Pink Flamingos
IMG_1924.JPG

A couple of Black Rhinos arguing over something
IMG_1925.JPG

And then of course the biggest animal of all.......
IMG_2355.JPG

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::laughing:

After KS, we just kind of went at our own pace, doing whatever we came to.

Me goofing around on The Maharajah Trail
IMG_1938.JPG

Some animals that we spotted on the Maharajah Trail
IMG_1941.JPG

IMG_1946.JPG

Then we, headed over to Pangani Trail and stopped a couple times along the way.

IMG_1952.JPG

IMG_1953.JPG

IMG_1954.JPG

When, we finally made it to Pangani, we saw quite a few animals. Although, for some strange reason, the only guys we got on camera were these tamarinds.
IMG_1967.JPG

Then we decided to take our chances on Kali and had a blast, although the joy was short lived afterward, when you are so wet that you are laying under the hand dryers in the bathrooms along with all the other Kali victims.
IMG_1959.JPG

Mom wanted to ride Everest, but we were all too chicken to ride it with her, so Mom just settled for some pictures of the home of the famous and feared yeti.
IMG_1969.JPG

IMG_1970.JPG

Then we went to Flametree BBQ and had a delicious meal while Blake amused himself with the......you guessed it.....DUCKS!
That is about when everybody, excluding me, said, "Let's over to the Tree and catch "It's Tough to be a Bug". Aghhhhhhhhh! I will go ahead and lay out that I am a huge BAWK BAWK BAWK! I for some reason, HATE, ITTBAB. But, I was forced to watch it anyway, and while I was waiting, I tried to cheer myself up with some pictures around the tree.
IMG_1973.JPG

IMG_1975.JPG

I even put on a smile for this picture. Surprise, Surprise!
IMG_1974.JPG

After the dread of ITTBAB, the torture continues as the DFamily decides to go to Dinoland U.S.A. I also HATE Dinosaur. I know that I sound picky, but like I said....I'm a BIG FAT CHICKEN!
So, after that, we took a few more pictures, and called it a day-a long one at that.
IMG_1979.JPG

IMG_1958.JPG

Thank y'all guys for holding out on me. I don't plan on making these long waits in between updates a habit, but, then again, I will be starting my March 2011 PTR soon, so we'll see....and on that note.....See Ya' REAL Soon...hopefully anyway!:rolleyes1

I'm subbing! ;)

You guys look like you are having a great time! I have been a Disney fan forever myself, and my fondest memories were from when I was your age, so it's great for you to document it.

I'll be here. popcorn::

There's nothing wrong with being a chicken! I'm 44 and a chicken too! I didn't ride Tower of Terror until I was 42.

It looks like you guys had a good time at the Animal Kingdom and you took some great pictures.

Okay, so, the next day...........

We got up and headed over to the Polynesian, one of my favorite hotels, and had some wanna be Tonga Toast at their counter service place. It was actually decent, but not near as good as the real stuff at the Kona. We all love the rain forest inside. Even my brother, in his no-pictures-please mood, enjoys taking some pictures around this hotel.

Then, we made good use of our resources, and took the monorail (oh, to have one of these at OUR hotel, I heard rumor that there are possible plans to insert one in Wild.Lodge.....any info?), to EPCOT. We were here at Spring Break, so we were lucky enough to be there to see the wonderful Flower and Garden Festival. Sooooooooo beautiful!

Then we just kind of took our time.

We also went to Innoventions and did the VISA Character Meet and Greet.

IMG_2042.JPG

Then, we decided to finish the day at MK. We didn't do much there, but had fun, none the less.

IMG_2048_edited-1.JPG

I take this picture every time we go. Supposedly, I was his first wife.:rotfl2:
IMG_2054.JPG

IMG_2058.JPG

We stayed for EMH that night at MK. My family are all night-owls, well most of us anyway (cough-cough-BLAKE-cough-cough).:rolleyes1

Great job with the TR. I love seeing families having a great time at WDW. (I can pretend I'm there too) I'll be watching for updates!

Sorry that it took so long....again. I know, I know......bad Abbi, bad Abbi!

Anyway, on with the show...er, post, i mean story, I mean TR, i mean-oh whatever......just on with-IT!

So the next day, we all headed down to the counter service place at POFQ and all filled ourselves up. I couldn't finish my muffin.
IMG_2059.JPG

Then, we decided to spend our day at MGM (or Hollywood Studios-whatever you want to call it, it will always be MGM to me). We had tons of fun while we were there. This is probably my least favorite park because of the lack of rides, but it sure has some good photo-ops. We didn't take as many photos this day as we did our second day at MGM. I don't know why. We ate at the Drive-In SciFi Diner, this was our second time here. It is one of our favorites. Blake closes his eyes every time whenever the Colossal Man throws the big injection at the doctor and kills him. ;)
IMG_2063.JPG

IMG_2064.JPG

Oh, and those older people in the very back...I have no clue who they are. We just called them hitch hikers.
IMG_2066.JPG

IMG_2067.JPG

We really enjoy the American Idol Experience. I think we saw all 3 shows this day. Although, we have yet to see one of the finales at the end of the day. We are just too pooped.
IMG_2069.JPG

Classic!
IMG_2070.JPG

See what I mean by not many pictures, though? This is very unusual. Maybe I need to make sure that my mom was okay. This is a nightmare. Less than 100 pictures. Aaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhh! :rotfl2: Just kidding. But, this is very much unlike her. Well, anyway, that was it for that day. Stay tuned though for my next post.

P.S I still do not know how to make a post with all of the little chapter title thingies, so readers can just jump to a post, instead of having to read ALL of the posts that other people have made(personally, I like reading them, but not everybody is so easily pleased...ha ha). So, if anyone can help me out here, you will receive a virtual cookie ( for all of you gullible folks out there...I was KIDDING)!:rotfl:
