I had it set in my head that we'd be staying at Poly for our trip in September, but now I'm not so sure. Because of our son, we want to stay someplace on the monorail line so that we can get to the hotel quickly, but looking at Contemporary and Grand Floridian, they both look fantastic as well. We would definitely be doing concierge, and if we stayed at Contemporary, we'd be looking at getting in a tower. Also, for the sake of my son and my mother (who will be coming along with the wife), character meals are fairly important, though who they are with is less important.

Why do they have to be all so outstanding?!

I just stayed at the Poly at the beginning of the month, and it really seemed to be the most convenient to me. I don't know if you'll be renting a car or not, but the parking lot at the Grand Floridian was about a mile away from the hotel. I'm not sure about the Contemporary, but the Polynesian had a convenient lot. All three are served by a boat to the Magic Kingdom, but only the Polynesian has access on foot to the TTC. (You can go everywhere from here!) The big plus of the Contemporary is that you can walk to the Magic Kingdom. For convenience, my vote would be for the Poly, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three.

I would have to agree with the previous post - you can't go wrong with any of them :earsboy: As for me if I had to pick just one (and we are headed back in July) it would definately be the Polynesian - for us the atmosphere is perfect, location is amazing and the cast members truely wonderful. I would be more than happy to try to answer any questions you might have on the Polynesian - I am far from being an expert but have managed to locate a number of great sites (the best of which is run by tikiman who posts on the boards regularly) and have had a few experiences of my own there and looking forward to many more in the future :earsboy:

My vote is also for the polynesian and they have a great character breakfast too! It is a beautiful resort, and even better newly renovated!!! Have fun and Good luck making a decision - you can't go wrong no matter where you choose!

I wish I had such problems, ;) but since a deluxe is well beyond our budget, I don't have to make those decisions. But, if I were to find a bundle of cash under my Christmas tree, I'd probably go with the Polynesian. As a kid, I remember seeing pictures from the luau and ever since, I've dreamed about being there. And watching the planning video earlier this year, when I saw the Poly section, it was the place that hubby and I both said we'd love to stay if we had the money.

You can't go wrong with any of them. But we'd take the POLY. We just love the place.

CR. :wave2: I'm biased due to it being my only deluxe experience...but (just posted this on another thread...thought it applied here)...

If you would stay in the Tower, I'd say CR. The convenience of taking a few steps out your door, then an elevator ride to food/snacks/transportation is great. Many times during our last two trips, I'd go get some food at the FnF-center downstairs, and bring it to the room. While I'd do this, the kids would be getting ready (for the day, or for swimming, or for a nap, etc), so it saved a lot of time. It's too long of a walk to the wing to do this as frequently/conveniently. The walk to the MK is great as well, especially if you're trying to leave after a parade/fireworks...saves waiting in line for monorails/boats. Also, the view is really nice (either side, but MK best).

Any of the deluxe resorts are great though. Have a great trip!
