aRes Travel tickets - problem if DL goes to different pricing

Not sure how to word my question - I don't believe DL charges a different price for different days yet? (what is the term for that I forget) Maybe I have that wrong and they do? We plan to buy 5 day hopper tickets and go in August, M-F. If they have the different pricing for different days, with the aRes travel tickets be a problem? Would I be safer buying them from DL direct rather than save the $50?

If you have a 5 day ticket it won't matter. Right now Disney is only changing the price by day/season for single day tickets. You are fine since you will have a multi-day ticket.

I disagree. Let me explain...

Right now, the only date-sensitive ticket pricing that Disneyland really has is for the 1-day tickets. The prices on the multi-day tickets are the same regardless of which days you are at the parks. But when you buy a 1-day ticket from Disneyland, the price varies if you are going, for example, mid-week in January compared to on July 4th. Just like the 1-day ticket prices now vary at Universal Studios Hollywood.

With aRes travel's DL tickets, though, you CAN encounter a price difference on park hoppers if your travel dates change. I ran into this problem last October and aRes doesn't really mention it on their website. If you have to change your dates of your trip, then you have to call aRes and they have to issue you a new ticket voucher. If when you call them to change your dates, there is a price difference on the park hoppers, then you have to pay the increased price. They will not honor the prior sale price.

Buyer beware

Thanks for clarification. I didn't know aRes gives you a date stamped voucher and not just a 5 day ticket.

If you buy a 5-day ticket from aRes, they will give you a voucher for a 5-day ticket, but you have to tell them what date that you will pick it up and you have to start using it within a couple of days of that pick-up date. Otherwise, you have to give them a different pick up date. It's quite different than buying a 5-day ticket from DL, in which your 5-day ticket is good often until 12/31 of that calendar year.

So, I bought a 4 day park hopper in February before the rates went up and put the end of the year as my date. They said when I knew my dates to call them back -- are you saying they will charge me an additional amount of money now for my October dates?
