Its her first time in Disney. princess: My DS6's first time too, pirate: but he didn't want bejeweled mickey shoes... haha go figure...
:yay:Can't wait!!! :yay:

Anyone else do something special for their kids on the first vacation???

Oh my gosh, that is simply ADORABLE!!! :D

No kids here yet, so can't share any ideas, lol.

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of glue did you use? And are those just regular rhinestones like you would find at Michael's? I might try my hand at a designed shoe like this for my little sister's upcoming bday.

Thanks!!! This was a really fun DIY! I hope Mickey and Minnie like them when she meets them! lol :smickey:::MinnieMo

I used e-6000 glue, an industrial strength adhesive which you can get at michaels. (use in well ventilated area!) I used Swarovski (flatback, not hotfix) crystals (10CC) bc they are much more brilliant than the ones you get at the stores. You can get them wholesale sold by the gross online. (rhinestoneshop.com is my supplier- cheapest, free ship) It would cost a small fortune to buy them @ Michaels as you need about gross of the clear crystal rhinestones for each shoe. (these are a toddler size 7) Those are just the converse one stars from Target. Googled "how to make shoelaces from ribbon" and bought Minnie type polka dot ribbon (3/8 in) If you do decide to do this, I found that making the mickey in pencil on the toe and using double sided tape to make sure you lay it out correctly works best. Then take note of how many you used bf you take it off the tape so when you go to do it with the glue, you dn't mess up. I colored in the mickey head in black sharpie to make sure it was all black in between the stones once I knew I had it right, then applied the rhinestones. Start with Mickey and then fill it in with the others... you may need to use smaller clear crystals in some spots where the larger ones don't fit as you fill it in.

I'm sure she'd love them! :bday: What little girl wouldn't love Mickey bling!? lol My daughter wanted to wear her "diamond mickey shoes" this morning with her PJs. haha Good luck!
