Are your neighbour's?

Nope. The guy across the street is a man-***** who has a succession of women (plus kids!) constantly moving in and out. Lots of noisy parties too. Folks of one side think that if you live in the country (where zoning laws are never enforced) you should feel free to leave old cars and other junk in your yard. He also has the rather alarming habit of doing target practice in the backyard after dark, never during the daytime! :scared1:People on other side have a big field between us so never see them. When we have spoken, they made me :headache::mad: when he laughed about his cat raiding a bluebird nest and killing the birds. Luckily, we own the woods behind us, so no neighbors back there!:yay:

Yes, the ones to my left are very polite and friendly, always saying hello. The ones to my right are polite but very quiet so can't complain

The neighbors that we lived attached to (twin) are wonderful. They are the nicest sweetest neighbors you could ask for. The guy and his ex-wife that live in the cottage behind us are quiet. The lady seems nice, but the guy is a creeper. The apartment building that faces the side of our house has 3 apartments that all have nice single ladies living there. They agree that the guy behind us is weird. We only stay here (we rent) because our neighbors are so good. We've never had good neighbors before and understand the value of peace and quiet.

We don't have "bad " neighbours but I would not consider them "good" neighbors. Everyone keeps up with thier property and are for the most part very considerate with thier animals, kids, etc. My immediate next door neighbor is a nosy snoop though... does nothing but go from house to house gossiping.. which I can't stand. Its so bad that we have nothing to do with her. As a result of her, most the neighbor's don't spend a lot of time socializing cuz she always comes up & interupts and inserts herself into the conversation.

On the left lady never comes out of her house unless her husband is home.
In the evening she takes a walk with him.
Never out when he does lawn work etc.
Appears in good health.
I sometimes think her husband is very controlling or she is afraid to be out alone.
She's probably in late 40's.
Good neighbors, yes, but odd.
Everyone else is great.

I was spoiled at my last house...my next-door neighbor became a close friend, and we'd pet-sit for each other, share cocktails while on our respective decks (townhouses, so we shared a wall), share neighborhood gossip, and keep an eye on each other's houses. I'm actually having dinner with her tonight.

My current house, on the left is an elderly man who is nice but pretty much keeps to himself. On the right two doors down is another elderly man who is definitely a good neighbor - he is very friendly and has helped me out with a few things around the house, and I've done some favors for him in return.

My immediate neighbors on the right...are ok. I guess they're not the worst neighbors, on the whole, but we're very different. We're friendly when we see each other but they have the two most annoying, yappiest dogs that I've ever met that they put out in their backyard whenever they're home. The other night the dogs were out there until midnight, and it is constant high-pitched yelpyelpyelpyelpyelpyelp the entire time. I have a really nice backyard but I only really use it when they're not home because I just can't deal with the constant barking - I had a few friends over for a barbeque a month or so ago and it was actually embarrassing as we could barely hear each other talk and they all commented on it and wondered why on earth my neighbors (who were also out in their yard at the time) wouldn't just put the dogs in the house as they could clearly tell that I had people over and we were trying to eat outside. I honestly think my neighbors must be so conditioned to it that they don't even notice the barking anymore. They were on vacation a few weeks ago and it was HEAVEN.

I love my neighbors. We live on a cul- de -sac. There are only 12 houses on our street. Everyone is super friendly. We have gone to many Halloween parties, Christmas ornament exchanges and Easter egg hunts. Just last spring a bunch of them came to my DD wedding. :goodvibes

I guess? They maintain their homes and lawns. I wave to them now and then. But I don't know their names and they don't know mine.

Do you live on my street? This is my next door neighbor exactly! She's a widow and is always worried about everyone else. She actually asked me if my husband left me because she hadn't seen him coming home from work recently! We almost put in a fence this summer to keep her from watching us but we knew she would complain to the city so we decided against that headache.

We are quiet and keep to ourselves and dont socialize with the neighbors. Just seems easier that way.

I am about to move into a new home and I am very sad about the neighbors I am about to have.

My back yard is next to a lake with a private fishing dock. The previous owner has basically opened his back yard to the whole neighborhood. Anyone was welcomed anytime to fish there.

We don't want to continue this. We are just more private, quieter and I also don't like the liabilities come with it. We've been politely asking people leave our yard and putting up "private property" signs.

Now, I have one neighbor telling me I can not do this because the whole neighborhood will turn against me.

I have another neighbor who keeps tress passing my property line and continues to fish in my yard.

Yesterday, the "private property" signs were stolen.

I am so so so sad. I don't look forward to moving anymore.

Maybe in those idiots' eyes, we are the bad neighbors.

I live in an apartment building. I've met two people who live on my floor since last December... One because he helped me with groceries once, and another because UPS left a package for me at his apartment.

I never hear them, so I figure they're good neighbors, lol.

Now that the punk NBA player has moved we are back to peace and quiet.

I hate my neighbor.

They cut there grass about every 3-4 weeks. It has only been 2 weeks and it is already knee high due to the recent rain. They tie their dog up outside for hours on end in the 90+ heat and humidity. I did report it to HOA but they have recently started up again.

Their teenager has stolen our brick edging from around the front flower beds to use to make a fire pit.

Last year, I saw him and his friend steal a bike from the little boy who lives behind us. Just walked across the yard, leaned over the fence and took it. Of course, I called and reported it. They were taking it apart in their backyard when the police showed up.

We found a duffle bag full of assorted drug paraphernalia in the bushes between our 2 houses - assorted bongs and pipes. I know it belonged to the teenager as I have seen him carrying it before. Unfortunately I wasn't home or I would have called the police. DH destroyed it. I saw another duffle bag behind their air conditioner earlier this week. I hope he learned not to hide his stuff on my property.

My other neighbors are fine. Although I only have a small and wave relationship with them. That's how I like it.

I love my neighbors! They are all quiet and well behaved. They are all very nice too! If anyone is loud and slightly annoying I think it would be my kids.

We just moved into our first home.

Neighbors to our right are friends so already knew we :lovestruc them.

Neighbors to our left are a nice couple but they do leave their dogs in the back (they don't bark TOO much but it seems a bit neglectful). They put up a fence a week after we moved in :rotfl2:

We only have a little overlap of a behind neighbor and he was nice too, complained about the dogs next door, and said he has a fence coming in soon :lmao:

Our neighbors are great, in fact most of my block is great. Four of our neighbors have our keys and alarm codes and we have theirs. We all take care of each others homes when they go on vacation, take in the paper, mail, water houseplants etc. I cant imagine having to live someplace where I didn't talk to my neighbors. My neighbors all have free run of my pool anytime they want to go in, if I am out or at work they are more than welcome to go in.

I live on a corner lot. The ones next door and the ones behind are great. The ones diagonally behind to the right are nice people but I could do without the pack of barking beagkes that they leave outside to bark incessantly.

The ones directly across the side street are great. The ones diagonally across the side street are idiots so we just ignore them...

Across the street I have a church and a cememtery so they are quiet. ;)

Yes, our neighbors are wonderful! If anything, we are the neighbors they complain about! Their kids are all grown on either side and ours are still loud and around. Plus we don't keep our lawn as nice as they do. We did just hire the son of one to help us - he runs a lawn co.

We are losing one as their house is for sale. I'm hoping to get another nice set, some kids might be nice. I would love if they had a girl DD13 would click with as a good buddy.

We only have 8 houses on our very small street. Everyone is quiet respectful except, these people would be other - since their is always an other.

Wife is absolute freak of nature. I do mean whacko. I no longer have packages delivered to my house because of her. FedEx accidentally delivered a package to her - opening day Red Sox tickets, I had mentioned they were coming. When they didn't arrive after it said delivered I called FedEx. Driver then came back & told me where they were. She denied it, I had to file police report. Don't know why she couldn't use them they were for opening day against the Rangers - IN TEXAS!!

Months later a neighbors daughter saw her put the envelope under my welcome mat. BUSTED!! She came over ranting to my elderly mother when I wasn't home, actually put her hands on her. Lightly on her upper arm but my Mom was then 80. I only declined to press charges since her DH reimbursed us for the tix & more. He is a sweetheart - poor guy.

To this day she ducks into her garage whenever I am out. I hope I scare the crap out of her.
