:wave2: Since my husband and I have not been to Disney without children, I was wondering if without doing prority seating we would have an easier time of just going to a restaurant and getting seated. It has been 18 years and I know a lot has changed. We only have 3 1/2 days and I just don't think I can predict when we will want to eat or how tired we will be. We are going July 21-25. Would the concierge desk at the Swan be able to get us Priority Seating at the last minute. I planned my last trip without the aid of a computer and this wonderful site. Thanks!!!!

When we went without the kids back in 2002, we had no trouble getting into any of the restaurants without PS. I even ade some PS ressies before we left, ad some of the we never made it too, bt we walked into places that were more convienient along the way. We even found a couple of new places that I will be making PS's for this Dec. In my opinion, it WAS easier being just two people, though most of the tables in the restaurants are all the same size (seat 4) or very large for 4 or more people so it's not like there are alot of tables for two. Some that you might have better luck at ar those that do like:

LeCellier
Coral Reef
Donald's Breakfastasaurus (has a few tables for two)
Teppanyaki
Alfredos
Rose and Crown
Hollywood and Vine

We always have at least some PS's when we go, but we have never had any trouble canceling and making new ones, even on the day of. Sometimes, I've even called from the parks, just an hour or so before we want to eat somewhere, and changed our PS's. It's never been a problem, but we never have had over 5 people in our party. For the last couple of years, it's just been DD and me!

I think using the PS system is great. If you decide you would rather not dine out at that particular restaurant or meal, you can just call & cancel or modify your reservation; they do not ask for a credit card to hold it & there is no penalty if you don't cancel within a certain time frame.

Benefits - If you take the time to map out one, two, or a few places you'd like to try, you will be seated before walk-ins. We used PS for 2 lunch ressies this trip & 2 dinners; did one walk up lunch (Kona Cafe) - actually arrived ~ 20 minutes before it re-opened for lunch so we were first on the list to be seated!
