Just curious since I just started a for-fun painting of Stitch. I just did the undersketch and I'll color it later. I hope it doesn't come out huge on here.

I have some fixing to do. But can you blame me? I only started 5 minutes ago. xD

I took like a day over last summer to draw various Disney characters. I went online and got step-by-step instructions for them. My Pluto came out great. I just can't find the paper I drew them on.

wow! did you draw that?! Its amazing!! I am currently trying to perfect some pop art of disney characters...haha we'll see how that goes xD

i try to regularly sketch disney characters also:goodvibes

i started wednesday night writing and sketching my own disney-esque fairytale. it's looking really cool so far!

aw, you should try and find them. If you can scan them then I could practice digital coloring on them. xD

I didn't use any reference so I think his head came out a bit small, but whatever.

Yes and thank you! I've never been good at pop art. The dots never stay even... I'm going to start coloring this on monday and post it as I go. :)

That sounds awesome, you should try to post some of it! I have some friends doing the same things to put in thier portfolios at school.

I've been doing some rough Mickey head sketches(with pencil and crayon, lol)- my friends and I are moving into an apartment on campus next year, and I get to decorate one of the bathrooms, so I chose Mickey Mouse(our apartment color schemes so far seem to be pink and black, green and black, blue and black, so I figured that kinda fits with red and black, lol).

I wanna choose one of the sketches and turn it into a painting for the wall, but I'm having a hard time sketching something I actually like. I want it to be pretty basic, but kinda artsy (ex. mickey head with splattered paint, or something along those lines).

I haven't done any art in almost a year (I took art classes all throughout highschool) and I'm having trouble getting back into the groove...

in high school I took a clay & 3d design class and one of our assignments was to make a vase out of clay bricks but we had to incorporate shapes or some kind of pictures in it.
Of course I did a Disney theme. I made so many 2d versions of characters out of clay. My teacher loved the theme I chose and said it was something she hasn't really seen anyone do for this project.

I could give it a shot if you'd like, just for inspiration. I thought of the abstract art of Mickey at one of the WDW hotels... Bay Lake Towers I think? Haha idk. I'd just need colors and size (portrait, landscape, or wall).

I'm taking a ceramics class and did a sculpture of what I call a "seahorse-horse". Basically it was a horse designed to look like a seahorse. It came out awesome, but I haven't done anything with Disney. Someone in my class made a Goofy mosiac.

Awesome, I can't wait to see! I love to see how people choose their own ways to draw familiar faces. It's what makes the art world go 'round...

The colors I was thinking were basic:
red
black
yellow
blue
green
etc.

The size right now is up in the air- I have no idea how big the bathroom is (the school won't let us go see the apartment they show on tours, so we don't know til move-in day)- but it will probably be one of the few pieces of artwork in the bathroom(I'm debating one or two pieces), so it can be any size since it'll be one of two possible focal points.

I would love to see what you come up with, if you have the time. Any inspriation would be great right now. I've been googling some Mickey artwork in my spare time, but I need canvas and paint for all the ideas I have(and all I have in my dorm are crayons and a sketchbook XD).
