You know, I never really thought about. Maybe I should consider it. After all, I'm dead. I don't need them.
I definitely want to. I'll be dead, I won't care.
Jaimie! We won't flame you! Go ahead and tell us if you want!![]()
As of right now, I personally feel that my organs are in my body for a reason - to be my own. That's just how I personally feel. I think it would be creepy to have a part of myself living on in someone else. However, I wouldn't have an issue with donating blood. I think it's a different case - blood cells as opposed to whole organs. Maybe my opinion will change when I get older. I don't know.
To those of you who are organ donors, it's really admirable.

How do you feel about donating kidneys?
I think I might be waaaaaay off here, but don't kidneys "grow" back? Kind of like blood, the cells grow back.
Funny thing, I was totally oblivious to taking blood and stuff. One time after getting blood tests I said "mom? What happens to all the blood they just took? Am I going to die of blood loss?". Then she told me blood cells reproduce.
Doh.
Also, after tons of blood transfusions I'm still confused as to why I needed them.
Kidneys don't grow back but livers do.They regenerate.
Ahaha! I knew it was something! Thanks Laura.
Can't you live with one kidney tho? I think you can, but I'm not sure.

I understand your thinking. I guess I just think what if I needed an organ? Ideally I'd like to go in the ground whole, but I will not need my organs anymore after I'm dead so I will donate if they are good.
I actually don't know! I need to look.
I knew a girl who had a heart transplant that was donated from a young man who died from a traumatic brain injury, and her personality changed after getting the new heart. She once told me that she hasn't felt the same inside since the surgery about 6 years ago now.
I wouldnt mind being a donor.
