We have done Christmas before but this will be our first time during Halloween. I know Disney says we can dress up in costume during the party but how many adults actually do this? I have seen the pics on the disboards and although i saw alot of little pirates and princesses it didnt seem like thier were very many others in costume. We will be going to MNSSHP on the 28th of OCT.please share your experience if you have ever been during this time. Also....if you are going to MNSSHP and are wearing a costume.....What are you going as?

:confused3 I am really suprised that no one has answered this thread...we were planning on all dressing up as peter pan, wendy, and the lost boys...but you are right the pictures do not show adults in costume. I received tixs in the mail yesterday and they also do not state anything about adults in costume...it does say that children are encouraged to wear costumes. From the way I understood the website, everyone is encouraged to dress up...but do adults actually do this??? Hopefully someone who has been during this event will answer your post soon.

In 2006 there were a lot of adults in costumes - DH and I dressed as Mousketeers, so we had pretty simple costumes.

We saw many adults dressed up in 2005, haven't been back at Halloween since. My mom and I are being Mouseketeers and my Tigger. DH will not be dressing up-his choice!

I'm contemplating dressing up..but I'm not sure. I haven't dressed up in years..

Can adults dress up as Disney character? I found a nice Cruela de Vil adult costume..and a little girl toddler dalmation puppy costume. I don't know if i'll do it though..but it would be funny

We will also be at the MNSSHP on Oct 28! I'm not dressing up. Maybe a Halloween shirt or something but I am defintely not going all out. My boys will dress up but that's it.

I am dressing as Giselle and my DBF is going to be Indiana Jones. The last party I went to was in 2005 and there were lots of adults dressed up. Adult guests can dress up as a Disney character but they can't pretend to be a Disney character (sign autographs or pose for pictures). If a guest does look too much like an actual Disney character, security might ask them to change but I have only heard of that happening a couple of times.

The best adult costumes I saw in 2005 was a lady dressed as Sleeping Beauty and her boyfriend/husband was dressed as Maleficent with full face paint. They looked great and I saw them several times throughout the party. The most common costume in 2005 was families dressed as the incredibles. I am thinking this year tons of boys are going to be dressed as Indiana Jones.

I was at MNSSHP last year and a lot of adults were dressed up. I had brought a costume to wear but it ended up not fitting. I should have realized that the size wouldn't run true. I did have a pair of cat ears, a tail and a bowtie collar that I wore. I think that that was probably better for me anyway because it was hot and I don't think that I would have liked to have been dressed uncomfortably.

I think that if you want to dress up you should go for it but definately choose your costume accordingly based on comfort and weather conditions.

Thank you all so much...i was really beginning to wonder if we would be the only adults there in costume.:scared1:

We'll be there on the 28th of October too! We're dressing up as The Incredibles. However, I am concerned that the costumes will be too hot.

I think I will be dressing up. I have a Tinker Bell costume for DD and I might get a fairy costume for me. But I am not 100% sure. I doubt DH will dress up.

Hi - DH and I are going as Mr and Mrs Incredible on vacation in florida - red shirts with the I symbol, black shorts and black crocs - and maybe a black eye mask thingy ,,,,,,,,

We went last year on Halloween & my DH and I were Jack & Sally. I'd say about 20% of the adults were dressed up, maybe slightly more if you include all the older teens/young adults w/out kids. It was fun and we got great pix. I enjoyed it since I would never dress up at home. Go for it! (but please, don't be the incredibles!)

oh, okay - i guess we wont dress up then, sorry.....

Hopefully the previous poster was just teasing. If you want to dress up as the Incredibles, then please dress up as the Incredibles. A lot of adults dress up like the Incredibles but who cares if you look like someone else. There are only so many costume choices. Have fun!!!

We were there last year, and lots of adults were dressed up. We were Colts' players and a cheerleader. It was tons of fun because we got so many comments....especially from Patriots fans. We also find out through a lot of sign language that Buzz does NOT like the Colts!:rotfl2: He still let us get a picture!

As others have said dress for comfort and the heat. We wore shorts with our jerseys.

Have fun!

I just went to MNSSHP this past Tuesday, the 9th. And to me, I thought there were a lot of adults dressed up. And if they weren't in full costume, there were a bunch who were wearing Halloween shirts. I dressed up as a mail carrier. Most of the kids I saw were dressed up, not all, but most. I'm glad I had a costume and that my dd had hers too.

I have to say, I loved the party and would do it again in a heartbeat.
