Are You Waiting for a Confirmation Letter?

I have been waiting for three One has been received, two have not. I called CRO yesterday since we are leaving for AKL 7-2-05 and have not yet received our confirmation letter. I was told they don't send those out any more for room only reservations. :sad2: He was insistent and told me to call AKL directly. So I called AKL and they, of course, Had not heard this. AKL conected me to Guest Services who also had not heard this. GS put me on hold while they called CRO. GS was told that the system that sends out the letters had been down for a while, but everything is running again and I should receive it soon. So if you have been waiting for a confirmation letter you might want to call again.

I recently phoned about the same thing and was told not to worry, that as long as I had my Confirmation number I was fine! :flower:
 
We didnt receive one either, we called and were told that they no longer mailed Room only confirmation letters.We booked room and tickets seperately.We did however receive our ticket confirmation ( actually 3 lime green credit card style things ).We did get in the mail a packet with some info ( most of which you get online anyway ) and a card to write your confirmation numbers for rooms and dining.So we went online got our confirmation number for the room, called CRO and confirmed the number was right, and had them read back our dining reservation numbers, wrote them all down on the card and now are safely tucked away in our Travel Day Planner.
 
we did a room only and we did get a confirmation letter. It took 3 weeks though. I too was worried and called a couple of times to check my reservation. You'll get it. Don't worry.

I had the same problem recieving a confirmation on my reservation. When I first made it I recieved a letter everytime I called (checking for better rates), even if nothing changed. Then I finally get the rate I wanted and everything changed, and NO CONFIRMATION. I was starting to get nervous so I called today...he told me the same thing he told you. But they are sending one out in the mail tomorrow...I hope. It would certainly put my mind at ease!

We have ressies for the end of July at PC and BC and we received letters for that trip. So if they no longer do room only letters I wonder why we received those. My biggest concern about the trip to AKL on 7-2-05 is that the amount due on line is incorrect. If I don't have that piece of paper I just don't feel as secure about my rate.

I made a change on my reservations before my May trip not enough time to recieve a modified copy so I just went on Disney web site and printed a copy of the reservation used it at check-in.
 
we didn't get ours either (for our two reservations)...
i called them and requested they fax it since our trip is just around the corner...
turns out they can't fax for room only reservations (they can if it's a package, but not for room only.....crazy)..

so they said they were going to try mailing it again...
but we're overseas so i doubt it will get to us in time..

i really hate arriving without having something in my hand....this is the first time that's happened...

but there are lots of hotels in orlando...if disney screws up (which i doubt it will) we can always check into one of them instead...

That's a good idea but for our 7-2 trip the info on the web site is incorrect.

I am waiting also! Our trip is in 12 days and we have NOTHING to show that this trip has been paid for, or even what we have reserved! Our dreams unlimited agent is looking into it for us, and I trust her to get us all the information that we need. I just don't want to go without something in my hand showing our information.
 
Hmmm....now im wondering....I just called the other day and made a room only reservation and the CM said they would be mailing me a confirmation letter? Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens... :confused3
 
I booked a split stay on June 1st and I have not recieved any confirmation sheets. The only thing I got was that purple brochure thing welcoming back and giving me ideas of what to do on my trip. I was able to check my ressies on-line...I was getting worried there! I still have to call them though because I forgot to have them note non-smoking for my request (I was too excited to think of it!).
 
When we made reservations for our May trip, we received our confirmation letter in about a week. We made initial reservations for a long weekend in July about 3-4 weeks ago (maybe longer...can't remember off the top of my head). We have since upgraded this reservation. While we've received a welcome back packet, we haven't gotten our confirmation. I, too, like to have that in hand. I've never had a problem with reservations at WDW, but I have at plenty of other places!
 
I booked our Nov trip in late April and received a confirmation letter. But I added an extra day to give me flexibility in booking our airfare. Last month I finally booked the airfare, and called to change our ressie, we're arriving a day later than originally. But never received a confirmation on this. I called Friday and they said they would send another one out, they did have the correct dates in the system, but I would feel better having that piece of paper. Especially since if you are a no show, they cancel you and we are arriving a day later.

Yes, I did call and the amount that guest services shows is the amount that it should be. I just really want something in hand at check in just in case.
