Are you trying all new restaurants or sticking with favorites?

We are doing a mix of old and new this trip.

Old-
Chef Mickey
Whispering Canyon
50's Prime time
Boma
Ohana (dinner)

New-
Le Cellier
Coral Reef
Tony's
Ohana (breakfast)
Kona
1900 Park Fair

We do both, if possible, we will always go to Artist Point and Grand Floridian Cafe. We also usually fit in Wolfgang Puck Cafe. Le Cellier used to be in there also, but the last two times have been very disappointing in service and food, so they are bumped.

We also always stick a few new ones in also. I'd be disappointed if I didn't hit my favorites, but also if I didn't try a few new ones also.

We plan on trying new places. I keep hearing such good things about restaurants there that I've never been to so I may have to skip a few favorites.

Mine are pretty evenly split between old and new. I think old has the edge by one adr. It's good to try new things. Who knows you might find a new favorite ;)

Seeing as i am on a mission to try every place in WDw i figured i would only try new places in a couple of weeks so my list is:

San Angel inn
Hollywood Brown Derby
Le Cellier
Kona cafe
Spoodles
California Grill

Now when i go in October the kids are coming so they insist we go back to chef Mickeys. Otherwise my new ADRs are:

Artist Point
WCC
Tepanyaki
Mama Melrose
Raglan Road
Liberty Tree Tavern

I think by the time i get back i will have hit everywhere i really want to try as i have some I have done previously. Still, there is plenty waiting for me in a couple of years :teeth:

We are doing a mix of old and new for our December trip.
OLD:
Beaches and Cream
Cape May Cafe
Yacht Club Galley(breakfast)
Alfredo's
Whispering Canyon(breakfast)
LTT
50's Prime Time
Flame Tree
LeCellier
'Ohanas(breakfast)

NEW:
Boma
Big River Grill
Narcoossee's
Marocco

We just have to go back to these places or our trip would not be complete but we're excited about the new places too. We always try new resturants every time we go. Before you know it, we'll have so many favs we won't be able to fit them all in in one trip. We'll have to figure out what to do then. When I stop to think about it, we are missing some of our favs on this trip just so we can do the new ones. Anyway, we'll have to do some of them on the next trip.

Since this trip just my husband and I going to celebrate our retirement, we are not going to our ususal character meals that we go to with our grandkids. We will be going to Ohana's because that is one of our favorites but everything else will be new.

We are doing a little of both.. Returning to Ohanas and Le Cellier trying Coral Reef, Boma and PT for the first time. Another fave we will return to is Pecos Bills and Pizza Planet and Im hoping to try Tusker House and Earl of Sandwhich although Im really thinking I will go to Wolfgang Puck Express I just cant seem to let that one go..lol :goodvibes

Since we are lucky enough to be spending an extended time at DW on this trip, (20 days) we will be repeating our very favorite places (Garden Grill. Crystal Palace, Boma's) and the rest will be new places that I was either never sure that were worth the bucks or were so expensive I KNEW they would not be worth the bucks. :rotfl2:

Every single place that dh has yearned over is on the list and I have a feeling that this trip will cure him of his yearnings as he is more a quantity guy rather than a quality guy and when the plate with a tad bit of meat, a few cleverly placed veggies and a flourish of sauce is placed before him and he freaks it will not bother me nearly as much as if we were actually paying full price. :rotfl2:

Don't pity the poor guy too much as he will get to eat his food and most of mine too as I am on a diet and cannot eat all that much. :thumbsup2

Slightly Goofy

This year we are doing a bit of old and new. We are only going to be there for 5 days so we had to cut out some of them.

Old:

Crystal Palace
California Grill
Kona (Breakfast)

New:

1900 Park Fare
Chefs de France

We would really like to try San Angel inn but have not figured out a way to do that yet, maybe for lunch. :confused3

On our December trip are mixing things up a bit but are also doing a few old favorites.

The new ones we are trying are Boma (dinner), Alfredo's (dinner), 1900 Park Fair (dinner), Olivia's (dinner), Coral Reef (lunch)

The old favorites that are on the list are Crystal Palace (breakfast) and Le Cellier (dinner)

My mom and I are doing a few new ones as well in September. We will be going to Boma (breakfast), Ragland Road (dinner) and Chefs de France (dinner.) Mom has never been to 'Ohana so we are going there one night for dinner.

Almost all of mine are new ones as we have only eaten at LeCelliers for soup and breadsticks, Sci-Fi and Planet Hollywood. I am really looking forward to all my new places. Since this is DD's grad trip and we are taking her BF who are both picky eaters I have geared my ADR's to them. Regretfully, I decided to cancel CG as I did not think they would enjoy the food enough to spend 2TS each on. Here goes:
-CP for breakfast and dinner, LTT, LeCellier (full meal) Boma's, WCC, Kona's, Chefs de France.
- repeating Boatwrights for farewell breakfast, PH and Sci-Fi.

We go to mostly our favorites and plan 2-3 places we haven't eaten at before. Our next trip we're trying Jiko and Yachtsman Steakhouse (also wanted to try Palio but it's being refurbished). We have had major disappointments trying new places but we have also found ones we LOVE (i.e. California Grill  ). My main goal is to eat at all of the TS places (besides V&A~not my kind of restaurant). We've eaten at Tony's, The Plaza, Crystal Palace, CRT, LTT, 'Ohanas, Chef Mickeys, California Grill, Citricos, Kona Cafe, Boatwright's, Boma's, Mama Melroses, Sci-Fi, RFC, House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, Alfredo's, Biergarten, R&C, Le Cellier, Wildhorse Saloon (I don't know if it's even still there in PI), Akershus (pre-princess), Fireworks (RIP), Coral Reef, HDDR, Spirit of Aloha, Chefs De France, WCC, Garden Grille, and 1900 Park Fare. I'm on my way!

We are also doing old faves and new

Repeaats:
Crystal Palace Breakfast
Chef Mickey's

New:
LTT - lunch
Crystal Palace dinner
Kona Cafe breakfast
GF Tea
Garden Grill (new for all except me)
Tony's Town Square
Ohana
La Cellier

Well, I guess that is mostly new!!

We always seem to eat at our regular favorites, but for this upcoming trip, I'm making it a point to eat at some places we've never been..... new to us will be LTT (the night of MNSSHP), Kona cafe @ the Poly, and 1900 Park Fare (DD wants her 4th bday with Cinderella and I didn't want to use 2 TS for the castle)....

Some of our regular restaurants that we will still be going to include Garden Grille, Cape May Character breakfast, Beaches and Cream, Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic pkg)

We mix it up some too...

New ones we are trying in October:
CA Grill
WCC (breakfast) - we've done dinner
Olivia's (breakfast) - we've done dinner (might try lunch this trip too)
LTT (Lunch) - might cancel this though

Favorites we are repeating:
Boma (dinner - once every trip)
Citricos
Beaches & Cream
Earl of Sandwich
Tusker House

We'd be trying more, but F&W is going on then so we'll be indulging at the booths around the WS.

For our NYE trip, I'm considering trying a few other new places: V&A's, Flying Fish, Garden Grill... but who knows... (I guess I need to get that planned and get some ADRs soon!)...

The only new place we are trying is San Angel Inn, and only because the family we are going with considers it a favorite.

This past trip, we stuck with a few of our standards (Concourse, Teppanyaki, Marrakesh, LeCellier, Yachtsmans, Cape May, Kona) and tried a few new ones (California Grill, Flying Fish, Spoodles). Flying Fish and California Grill will now be part of our next trip and we'll go from there.
That's the typical way we handle our meals during our visits to WDW.

I went through all of the posts and listed how many times a favorite was mentioned. The top place mentioned as a favorite was Le Cellier followed by a 3 way tie of 'Ohana, Boma and Crystal Palace.

That makes it even harder for me not to go to Boma and Crystal Palace. Maybe I should add 'Ohana. :rotfl:

Trying more new places this time around.

Old Favorite: Park Fare Breakfast

First Time: Hollywood and Vine, Boatwright's, Raglan Road
