Are you the only "foodie" in your group?

I feel like I'm the only one in my family who is into the whole Disney Dining. My kids only care about ice cream and french fries but hey they are all under 9 so that figures. My DH is a beef, pasta, chicken strip eater. A snack to him is a bag of potato chips. He doesn't like to try new foods but will go along to whatever ADR I make. I'm here planning our meals, and which snacks I want to try this trip but I feel like a "closet foodie". We can be in the World Showcase and DH is not tempted by any of the foods in the different worlds.Last trip I stayed in the MK shopped and had a snack in the Main Street Bakery. I sent DH and the kids to swim and they were happy to do so. 2 trips ago my parents came along so I had my Mom as my food partner. We had tea at the GF,stopped in France, and tried some of the F&W booths.
I know it's silly to complain.

I am right there with you, one of my favorite things to do in Disney is to try out the different restaurants. I LOVE Disney dining and I know that whenever we have dinner at a sit-down restaurant, I know that we are going to have the best quality food and the chef's are topnotch. My DH won't admit it, but he loves the food there as well. He doesn't care where we eat but as long as we have 2 TS restaurants a day (breakfast and dinner), we usually snack for lunch. My kids are picky eaters, but I always seem to find something that they would like on any menu. I am so bad that even this past trip we stayed off site for part of our trip and whenever we talked about going out to eat, I would always suggest a Disney restaurant rather than a restaurant outside of Disney. Most of the time everyone went a long, but a couple of times I was overturned

I'm lucky in that department. My children and Hubby love to eat and try all different types of food. I print up the Disney menus and my girls enjoy looking at them and helping me plan our meals.

DH is what I would call an on the fence foodie...he will try a few new restaurants but not places that I am dying to try like Jiko, Narcoosies (sp) or V&A.

He is willing to try Cali Grill so I am super excited about that. We are also going to Boma for dinner!

Bummer!

My DH & DS are both foodies. They have to be to live with me - after years in the business & missing it everyday since I retired, they have to be. We live to eat. DS has been a gourmet since before he could walk.

We go to WDW every year just for the Food & Wine Fest & our trips are planned around where we will eat.

I can't imagine not being able to share my love of good food with my family.

Fortunately my DH loves Disney Dining as much as I do. Unfortunately DS13 is an *extremely* picky eater and I have concerns as to what he's going to eat this trip considering that he's an "adult". Fortunately we're going to be there during free dining since I can't imagine having to pay $40 a day for what he's not going to eat. :rotfl2:

I'm afraid I'm going to feel like a big piggie on our upcoming trip. We're taking a Grandma/Mom/Daughter (I'm the Mom) trip with free dining. Grandma is extremely health conscious and doesn't eat much besides fish and veggies. DD is 19 and watches her weight. I have no idea why, she wears a size 2. I have a feeling that all of those Mickey bars I was planning on eating are not going to be so enjoyable after all.
