Watching this on Sci-Fi:

It's about the Waverly Hills Sanatorium here in Louisville. I've read and heard alot about the ghosts/orbs/etc. there but this movie is really creeping me out! I can't wait to go on a tour.

A friend of mine has been and he's seen the face of a little boy peering over a wall.

Some more links on it:

I'm spooked just reading your darn thread! :scared1:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I clicked on the links, im scared. Shoot, Im gonna have to sleep with the light on now.

I do not believe in ghosts I do not believe in ghosts I do not believe in ghosts :scared1: :scared1: MOMMY

O.k. if this is real I am really freaked out now :scared1:

I've read a lot about Waverly Hills and would love to see the place. It's definitely a very weird place.

I've taped the show and can't wait to watch it. We recently watched a mediocre horror movie that was taped at the asylum and the location was definitely interesting!

You're gonna love the show.

I can't wait for the DVD.

I hope to go visit it, myself, in a couple of weeks.

One of the paranormal discussion groups I belonged to announced this would be on so I Tivo'd it.

I lived in a house once with a couple of ghosts (a woman and believe it or not - a ghost cat). The cat just lazed around - never a problem. Now the woman ghost didn't like other women going in "her" kitchen. She never bothered me ...guess I wasn't a threat since I really never cooked :lmao:

We had a new roommate come in and the ghost HATED her. Things would fall off the walls, things like that. Needless to say the roommate moved out rather quickly...

I love threads like this. I live fairly close to Davers State Hospital in Danvers Ma. This place is on a hill and you can see it from the highway. The architecture alone is frightening. They claim it is one of the most haunted places in America....so what do they do with this landmark....with all this great architecture? They make condos. I have to say no way in heck would I every want to live there!

DD and I love to watch America's most haunted. Sometimes I wonder if it is all a put on? Either way I am fasinated by it.

 I'm hooked on Ghost Hunters and watch it every Wednesday night! It was great to see the Ghost Hunters investigation of Waverly, then the documentary. It was very creepy and it takes a lot to creep me out! :thumbsup2

Bella, have you ever gone near Danvers State? My best friend and I love this stuff and went up there (only to the gate, of course) armed with audio recorders and video cameras. I had my audio recorder and we hung around talking and recording. We get back to her place and we're listening (a la Ghost Hunters). It was pitchblack and we were there for about 20mns when you hear my friend say, "Put it on nightshot." to her DH. Then you hear a man's voice, talking directly into the recorder say, "It's about time." Holy you-know-what!! We watched her video back and you can't hear it on the video. It's a deep man's voice and it sounds like it's talking right into the recorder. It definitely wasn't our DH's and it wasn't heard on her video recording - you hear her talking about putting it on nightshot and nothing else.

I'm a skeptic, but I love this stuff. I really couldn't believe what I heard.

The Waverly thing last night was really interesting. I hope it's on again because I fell asleep with only 30 mns to go. :guilty:

I watched most of "Spooked" last night and I watched all of "Ghosthunters" that was on right before it also at Waverly Hills. Very interesting! I can't watch horror movies at all, but this stuff I find fascinating!

I started to read this thread last night and had to stop - DH is out of town and there was just NO way. I love to hear stories and other peoples experiences - but can not go to sites with pics or watch the shows. i am fascinated, but it frreaks me out too much!!!

No i have never gone up there. I noticed that from rte 1 the other day there was a crane which looked as if it were pulling down the buildings. I bet the construction workers have some good things to tell. I wonder who would be dumb enough to buy there? I guess saying you live on the site of an old Mental Hospital does have its allure for some.

My cousin is an electrician and he has told me some hair raising stories of houses in which he has worked. ONe of them was he was working in a house with an adjacent apt. He heard all these voices and footsteps coming from the apt and he was alone in the house. He went next door to investigate and ...nothing. Another time he was there doing his thing but there was a dri wall person there also. All of a sudden as they stood there....the metal "t" square used by the dri wall guy went flying across the room and landed between them.

Occasionally when renovating a house the old fixtures are given to the contractors. He brought me this light fixture once and asked if I wanted it for my front hall. It was semi Victorian so I said yes. After it is installed I think to ask where he got it...."OH, the house I was working on in M..." I was freaked out and tried not to think of it. Nothing has happened and it has been up for 10 yrs..but still I was freaked out.

Ah....Danvers State - what a creepy looking place that was! Although I live near The Mouse now - I am originally from NH. I used to go by there all the time and it always felt ...overwhelming is all I can describe it as.

I'm also hooked on SciFi's Wed night lineup. I love the Ghost Hunters. Many times they don't find anything, but when they do it's creepy. I'm hooked, even on reruns.

Waverly looks like a creepy place. I'm in NJ and I don't know of any really well known haunted places.
I have been to Ft Mifflin. That is haunted. But the night we went the ghost were not around.

I do believe in ghosts. and I did watch spooked. I found it interesting.

I watched both Ghost Hunters and the show on the Waverly...very interesting. And some of the photos that the second show showed :scared1:
