Are you registered as a Republican, Democrat, or Independent? If Republican or Democrat, have you always voted along party lines? And if Independent, which parties have you voted for (in regards to Presidential elections)?

I'm registered as an Independent. I've voted for 2 Republican candidates, and 2 Democratic candidates in the 4 Presidential elections I've voted in so far.

(And just to keep it from getting too hairy in here, lets avoid discussing the upcoming election. :) )

I selected Independent.

Not every state requires party registration, though. I know Virginia and Georgia don't.

In Presidential elections, I've voted Democrat twice and Republican and Libertarian once each.

Obi-Wan, thanks for that tidbit--I didn't know that! The states I've lived in have always required party registration, I didn't realize it wasn't nationwide. Learn something new every day!

(And my apologies to the Green, Libertarian, and any other parties I didn't mention; thought I'd keep it to the big 3.)

I registered as an Independent when I turned 18 in May but in January I switched to Democrat.

We don't have to register here, so I picked Independent. Party affiliation doesn't mean as much to me as what the person stands for. I've voted Republican, Democrat, Independent, and Libertarian.

i started out as a registered independent and switched to democrat a few years ago. i switched so i could vote in primaries.

I'm not 18, so I'm not yet registered to vote. When I do register, however, I'll most likely register as independent. I'll change it to Republican or Democrat if I want to vote in primaries, but then probably switch back.

I'm a registered voter, but in GA there is no party registration. When you go to vote in primaries, you tell them which party's ballot you want.

Another family of registered Republicans.:D

Guess how I'm registered. (hint check the picture in my signature)
