Are you prepared?

DD6 decided to count how many months until our trip, our first. When she figured out that we still have about 8 months she said "Oh,no!" I figured she was upset that the trip was still so far away, but then she said "Only 8 months? But I am not prepared!" It was so hard trying not to laugh at her when I asked her what she needed to do to get prepared. She said she needed to finish reading her By Kids For Kids book (or whatever the real title is), decide what to pack, buy some snacks, pick out the dvds to take (we're driving), save some more money. I did end up laughing at her when she finished with "And I'm sure I'm forgetting something!" I think she'll be a future DISer I plead innocent though - I do all my planning, research, etc. while she's at school or in bed.

She sounds like me! Only I'm more than 20 years older than she is.

We are going with our 6 yo DD too (and 2 year old son) in about the same amount of time. We can't wait either!
