Are You planning a trip to Disneyland in December?

Dawn, you can change my dates. We're going December 2nd through the 5th and staying at the Motel 6 maingate. :)
I've stayed at Motel 6 Main Gate many times over the years. Each stay was problem-free, even the time they converted from Motel 6 to Red Roof Inn mid-way into my visit. I was always pleased with the courteous staff and clean rooms.

We will be going December 6-10th staying at the Grand Californian. I've been going since I was a kid but it will be DBF's first Disneyland visit ever.

We will be accompanied by a couple of Aussie friends who will also have their first Disneyland (California) experience (they've been to Euro Disney). They are excited about seeing the original Disneyland. I'm looking forward to playing tour guide and vicariously living the first timer experience through DBF and friends.

DBF has been giving me a hard time that all I can do is eat, live and breathe Disney since booking the trip. He suggested I find a Disney-holics anonymous group. Is this it? ;)

i just made some priority seating reservations today! :yay::yay::yay:

12/8 lunch at Cafe Orleans
12/9 lunch at Carnation Cafe
12/10 dinner at the Roundup BBQ
12/11 lunch at Cafe Orleans (though i could eat those fries daily )

i'm sure we'll do a character b-fast at Storytellers on a day when we aren't going in early. i think also a dinner at PPH Cafe--do you need priority seating for there? And then a bunch of meals probably at CA and White Water Snacks--cheap(er) and good stuff there:thumbsup2

i got the hours too from the cast member (last i checked they weren't official on a website)

12/8 DL 8-6 CA 10-9
12/9 DL 9-10 CA 10-7
12/10 DL 9-10 CA 10-7
12/11 DL 8-12 CA 10-9
12/12 DL 8-12 CA 10-9

lorie... last year they had a christmas ornament that when you spent a certain amount of money at cafe orleans you could get. They were themed to nightmare before christmas. You had to ask for them when You ordered.
I wonder if they will have them this year.:confused3

If everything goes well then we'll be going Dec. 14-16, but don't add me to the list yet because it's not confirmed :scratchin

:upsidedow

We'll be there on the day of the processional, but we won't really be attending/watching.

So the CM holiday parties have been confirmed for Dec. 7&8. We're there then too. I'm trying to remember what time Disneyland closed last year for the CM party. Was it 6?

Yes, Disneyland closed at 6 for the CM parties. I believe DCA stayed open until 10 because of it.

12/8 DL 8-6 CA 10-9
12/9 DL 9-10 CA 10-7
12/10 DL 9-10 CA 10-7
12/11 DL 8-12 CA 10-9
12/12 DL 8-12 CA 10-9

Thanks for the unofficial official hours! ;) We'll be there almost the same time as you, getting in late in the day on the 8th and staying through sometime on the 13th. They are pretty close to last year's hours for those days, but if the CM was correct, DCA will be open an hour later on Wednesday and Thursday than they were last year. I also read the 8th is a Cast Member party day and would close early (at 5:00 last year).

Fairykin, will you please update our trip info? Looks like we'll be staying onsite at DLH!!!

Great to see a fellow Tucsonan! Did/are you go to Disney on Ice? The show is cute.

I've never eaten at PPH Cafe, so not sure on that one. The rest of your reservations look great. :)

Thanks for the hours. They are pretty much what I expected.

They have NBC spoons this year.

thanks fairykin for the tip :thumbsup2 I love a special bonus! But please tell, disneynerd420 what a NBC spoon is? (my mind is going to unspecial places with that one:confused3)

and hi to momtomicayla in Tucson! We didn't go see the Disney on Ice. My boys (3.75 & 2 years) would have only been into the Cars i'm afraid and after our first and only experience to a matinee of Disney Playhouse last year (1 p.m.? what was i thinking during nap time?) i don't think i could drag my DH back to another show for a long while. I need to borrow my cousin's girls to get a princess fix every now and then princess:

what time do you head out of town and how long is your drive? We're planning on being in the car by 5a with max 2 hours of stops (4 15 mins, and one hour for lunch)

Sorry- I'm still getting used to the Disneyland board!

We're going December 18th-20th and staying at Paradise Pier.

If I may add, we did the Christmas Tour last year and absolutely loved it!

hey fairykin

im changing the hotel to Best Western Park Place Inn. My dates are still the same from dec 10-13.

thank you

Hi Fairykin,

Our family is also changing hotels. We'll be staying at DLH instead of the Kids Suites at HOJO. I'm a little bummed to not try out the new suites this time around, but absolutely thrilled to get to stay on-site and have three Magic Mornings! Our dates are still the same (Dec. 8-13).

Thank you so much for keeping all of our schedules straight!

Thank You all for including the dates when there are changes.. it makes it easy to update:thumbsup2

I think everyone is included now:yay:

I'm loving hearing all about your trips!

Wednesday I will be going to Disneyland for my Mother's Birthday and I will be gone until the following Tuesday. Several Days travel included along with a multi park stay. So....if the thread isn't updated, that's why!
But i'll catch You up when i get back!:grouphug:

I called Disney Dining to make reservations for our trip next week. They are in fact giving the spoons out now, it started the end of September per the rep, and your bill must equal $35 or more.

We're having lunch there before our Halloween Tour Saturday afternoon :cool1: I'll post a picture once we're back- I'm super excited to see what it looks like!
