Our family holiday trip to WDW was 12/8-12/15, and we had a marvellous time. I'm sitting here, wrapping DD's Christmas presents (WDW photo album, shirt and belly dancer headpiece from Morocco in WS, Disney pins, and more, all souveniers from our trip), using Pooh and Princess wrapping paper, and wishing like HECK that we were in WDW for Christmas day...how much more magical could it get??? How are you spending your Christmas in Disney World? Please share your plans for that special day! I wish I could be there too- and I wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hi lebee. We are going to the Candelight Processional tonight and eating at Alfredo's. We have not seen the whole CP since I was saving it for tonight:) When we walked by I would tell DH- keep going I don't want to see it all! Tomorrow we are going to Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge for dinner. We may try to get into the MK. On New Years Eve we are going to Epcot for this Big Band buffet in the old World Showplace building. It sounds great. Here is what Disneys site said:

This New Years Eve, guests at Epcot® can enjoy a Big Band-themed buffet at World ShowPlace, the special events pavilion located between the United Kingdom and Canada. Seating is available continuously from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with entertainment provided by the Tom Butler Orchestra starting at 7:45 p.m. Dinner is priced at $29.99 for guests 12 and up, plus tax and $13.99 for guests ages 3-11, plus tax. Gratuity is included and alcoholic beverages are available at an additional cost.

I asked the res agent about the food choices and there are a TON of things offered. Not too bad a price! It was one of the cheaper things around. There were a lot of New Years parties in Orlando too! After that we are going to try and get into MGM. They have a special fireworks show that night at 12! We will try to see Fantasmic at 10pm and the Osbore Lights again.

We spent Christmas Eve at Biergarten/Candlelight Processional and capped it with Illuminations. Christmas Day was very cold. We had dinner at O'hana and saw the late show of Circque LaNouba. I'm pleased with our choices and wouldn't have changed anything, but the weather!

Keep on posting! We are there next year for Christmas and I can't wait!

We got up very early, opened presents in our room, then headed to Animal Kingdom. The park was completely deserted Christmas morning!!! I have NEVER seen it that empty any time of year. No wait at all for any of the attractions. In fact, at one point around 10:30 AM, we were on the new walkway running next to Expedition Everest and my son stopped and said, "Wait. Look around. You can't see anyone else in the park except us." It was fantastic!!!

We had a special Christmas Brunch at Chef Mickey's in the afternoon. It was a great meal complete with carved prime rib, all sorts of breakfast selections, and a great salad bar.

Unfortunately, the weather was cold and very rainy after lunch. We rode around on the monorail for a while and then headed back to our room and let the kids play with their new toys for the rest of the day.

I've been waiting to read some Christmas Day crowd reports. So far sounds as though the weather may of kept the park crowds at a minimum.

We were there from the 16th until the 27th. Crowds were much less then I had expected from reports. We did not have to wait for anything, although we did see some pretty long wait times. We just passed those attractions up, and came back to them when there was little to no wait. Christmas Day was spent at the movies. It was POURING!!!!! I did go to MK at opening to run in and get something, and the crowds looked pretty bad, but the rain had not truly begun then. We had dinner at Park Fare, and it wasn't as busy as I had expected. Christmas Eve at O'Hana's was pretty hectic. They seemed to have messed up many of the PS's. Once we were seated it was great! The weather this trip was pretty cold, but warmer then it would have been at home. We had a GREAT time, and did things that we hadn't done before like the horseback riding at Ft. Wilderness. We were able to check into WL early, and had all of our requests met. Every CM we encountered there, and at the parks was WONDERFUL!!! The only complaint my family had as a whole was the unbelievable rudeness and entitlement attitude of many of the other guests. We truly felt that it was an embarassment to the human race. When 11 year olds can realize that the behavior "adults" are conducting themselves in is inappropriate, it is a sad comentary on our society. We truly had one of our best trips to WDW to date, feel free to ask any questions.
