Are you, how often and when are?

I check the boards at home in the morning & at night & during the day at work. DH checks the boards daily also. I guess we both are addicted.

Hi! Disboards are a great resource. I know our trips would not have gone as smooth without the input from everybody. This will be our 3rd DCL adventure. We leave April 30th on the Magic. I am not addicted, but when I have the extra time I enjoy everyones stories and input.

I check them at least twice a day. When I can I check them 3-4 times. I love them! We are sailing June 18th on the West Coast Cruise!

I am w/o a doubt addicted. Computer stays on 24/7 and when I get up during the night I always go to the computer room and check everything and turn TV on and start watching a movie. I have about four or so sites that I am on all the time.

Great information and suggestions in every area possible, whether it be Disney or Cruises or just chatting and getting to know someone that has good conversation. 99.9% of the people are awesome and very nice.

We have our 1st cruise planned for April 14. I am on here about 10 times a day! (Stay at home mom) . I know it gets on DH nerves! I am hooked!!! I even know what I am eating every night on the ship! Hopefully when we have an awesome vacation, he and the kids will think all my "research" was worth it!

I am definately addicted. I'm on here every morning as I eat my breakfast, as soon as I get home in the evening, and before bed. Also any other time I can sneak in. I leave the site up all the time and just keep refreshing. My first cruise is scheduled for 5-5-05. I can't wait.

I too have to admit I am addicted. I check the boards first thing in the morning before I go to work, try to check them two or three times at work, and then check two or three times (or more depending on how long I am awake) at night.

I am not "going back", we areFIRST TIME CRUISERS, going in July

Believe it or not I do not have a computer in my home. I work as a word processing and html programmer on a third shift in New York so when I am slow this is my favoriate thing to do at work.

My daughter will be getting a laptop for Christmas next year so I will probably be going on at home too.

Love these boards.

I'm so glad you asked this question....

I check first thing in the morning and then several times during after that...and of couse just before bed. Addicted would be mild for me...I'm concerned what will happen to me after we take our July 30 West Coast cruise and all the planning and dreaming is done.

I think we'll have to book another one onboard just so I can continue my DIS addiction.

Well since people are not mind readers there is really no way to tell, and again, if you are offended hey, don't read it, if you don't like a radio staation-don't listen to it-if you don't like a tv program guess what-don't watch it. I would be more then happy to debate this issue through pm with anyone so people can stop trying to get attention through the boards,

I am the queen of addiction to the DIS board.....my family always knows what I am doing when I sneak into the computer room......Mom....what are doing....don't tell me you are on the Disboard again.... Mare....come to the table, dinner is getting cold....mom...I need the computer for a school report....mom...I think I need stitches and have to go to the hospitalll....Jeez, can't it wait until I finish reading about this new shore excursion. Gosh, the family can be so inconsiderate!!! LOL!!!

I am on whenever I can, even after 13 DCL cruises I still learn new things and love sharing what I have learned with others.....I have almost 7,500 posts...that is addiction....but hey, it's better than being addicted to some other things!!!

I am so relieved to see I am not the only one addicted. So yes, I am beyond addicted. I am constantly on and checking, refreshing, rechecking and re-reading. I have also almost missed picking up DS from school because I was reading a thread.
Going again in June (first time in a verandah room) and again for a double dip of CC in July of 06.

I totally agree! To the OP, I think your post was a nice idea, it's interesting to see I am not the only addict here LOL But your choice of wording was bad. If you didn't know the word would offend some people, it's understandable. What isn't so understandable is why you couldn't just go and edit the word to something different after learning people were upset by it.

To answer the original question, I check 2-3 times a day, every day, sometimes more. Next DCL cruise/trip to WDW is April, then Star Wars weekends in June, maybe a convention in July and then another trip in October. Since I'm planning some many different trips with different purposes, I'm checking everything on the DIS!

oh this is sooo funny- my daughter thinks i am absolutely insane- the computer is in her room so when she gets home from work she takes one look at me huddled over the PC and shakes her head and says..."get a life" well, this is part of my life and i love to plan!! i was upset last night because she was finishing up a report and hogging the computer....well the nerve of her!!

Technically the same arguement could be used against all descriptive words describing people....... insane, queen, weird, nuts, psycho......etc.......

insane- mentally disordered exhibiting insanity

weird- of strange or extraordinary character

nuts- being out of the ordinary

exactly! i think there is nothing wrong with that word. i have friends who have special need brothers, and they go around calling people ********. 4 out of 5 people dont get offended, and yes i did take a poll. so why does it really matter?
