I chose not to vote today for 2 reasons:

1 - The TN Senate race this term is a disgrace and either candidate is a bad choice in my book.

2 - Gay marriage is on the ballot this time and without going into a huge debate issue, I don't feel comfortable voting either way.

I voted at 7:00 A.M. I usually wait until later in the day, but figured I was driving by, so I stopped. What a feeling standing in line waiting for the polls to open. Democracy at it's best!

I voted at 8 am right after I dropped DS off at school. I love election days, it always feels like a national holiday to me (even if my party loses).

Love the positive comments about voting. We take it seriously in our house. Rather a tradition, grandma and grandpa started it. DH and DD(19) and I went to vote together. Other Grandma would truly roll over in her grave if we did not vote!!! We need to say what we want. Many people have and are losing their lives so we can easily make our mark. We owe it to all of them!!!!

I don't think it is just our right, but it is our civic duty to vote.

I was thinking today of all those support the troops ribbons, and wondering if they all voted. How could you say you support the troops and not vote? For me it is the ultimate thank-you to all our soldiers.
