I am only giving two choices for a reason- are you leaning more toward excited or disappointed/worried/frustrated about fastpass plus BASED ONLY ON WHAT HAS CURRENTLY BEEN RELEASED. So no answer of "I'm waiting to see"- from what you know now, does this sound good to you?

I am just curious which way everyone is leaning. If you don't have the latest info see the new thread about the new fastpass plus info just released.

ETA: I just want an idea of everyone's initial reaction when learning about FP+- are you excited about it or not? Of course no final judgements can be made until we all experience it for ourselves.

I'd like to test it out, but as a replacement for Fastpass it really is a terrible idea. It's the Group A Group B thing that troubles me. Kind of unfair to guests...

I'm withholding judgement until A) all the details have been announced and B) I've tried it. I don't really have any interest in booking my rides 6 months in advance, but as long as there are options for those who prefer to wing it, I'll be fine.

While I did vote in the poll, I really didn't feel strongly one way or another for several reasons:
  • We don't really use Fast Passes to start with since we visit so frequently.
  • We hear a lot of conflicting info about FP+ so we don't know if it will be good or bad
  • We don't stress about rumors.
  • Its not the end of the World

DH is feeling a bit punchy this morning; said that FP+ will not allow him to enjoy the cinnamon rolls and that would ruin the whole trip:banana:

I am mostly apprehensive that the new system will be rolled out soon before or during my trip and will be buggy and invalidate much of my planning. When you only get to go to Disney 3-4 times while your children are young it's hard to take comfort in any reassurance that the system will eventually be an improvement.

Your two poll options may work for people who go to Disney very frequently or who believe they won't return until the system has been in place for a while, but it doesn't really capture the concerns of people who may be there during a rough transition that won't get to come back for a long time.

Kinda, I like the idea of doing it before hand. I'm just confused about the park hopper. Does only 3 mean 3 in MK only or 3 a day? Either one is okay I guess.

Excited- I am looking forward to not having to be a FP runner. But I am a planner so fit mind the 60 day window

I feel kinda torn. I'm excited but am nervous about the hiccups that could occur. I didn't vote but on the whole I think it's a good thing!

Not looking forward to it. At all.

I hate that "playing it by ear" is being taken away. The last thing I want to do is schedule my day like that. Ick.

Add to that, I REFUSE to have to be tied to a smartphone/internet on vacation. Ick.

If this plays out as I have imagined it will, we will be saying sayonara to WDW and spending our money elsewhere...

We still don't have enough details to know what it will be like for sure but I'm excited. Thinking about it, with a limit of 3 FP's it could really lower SB lines and the bracelets look fun. I wish the My Disney Experience app was available outside of the US already! We are headed to WDW at the end of the year and I'm really hoping it is rolled out by then.

I LOVE the idea of planning far in advance. BUT i HATE the idea of only 3 FP's and after that stand by lines only. NOT cool. Excited to try it out but also dreading it...

yes it will! He will just have to plan at least 60 days in advance which day of his stay he wants a cinnamon roll and exactly what time he would like to eat it. And then if he misses that window that's it for this trip. :rotfl2:

All true, except I wanted to know which way people were leaning based on the info that was out. The world will not come to an end if fastpass plus comes out ;).

I agree, and that is why I didn't put "I am withholding judgement" as an option...because I think everyone would answer that. I am trying not to get to worried until it comes out, but I don't like the sound of it. We prefer to wing it too. But I am glad to see some people are excited about it.

I'm still worried. I'll be very upset if they take away any option to "wing it". What about a FL resident who decides the night before they want to hit up MK? I have to imagine Disney has already thought about this, but the fact that it hasn't been leaked to us yet concerns me.
