inspired from another thread....

I was in my 20's on my first trip
my oldest was 8 and the others too little forit to matter on their first trips.

I LOVED IT
I love walking down main st to the castle
I love the smells
I love the character interaction
I love sooo many things other than 'rides'
I LOVE the theme hotels, pools, restaunts..
I don't think it is all about the rides really - you can go on rides at any carnival or park... they are fun but its just a small part of it.

I didn't go because I felt like I should - it was the american thing to do -
we went because DH wanted to see MY face (he had been as a kid a few times) on my first trip, he knew I would LOVE it - and he was right.

Heck NO!

I, too, didn't go until I was an adult. And I love it. I want to enjoy as much as I can of it before we have children, as I'm sure the experience will change.

Well, my DH talked me into going, just the 2 of us, when we were 23.

Since then, we have gone 4 more times with our son. Now, we have 2 more trips planned, one just the 2 of us again in Feb-March, and one with all 3 of us in Aug.

So, NO, you are never too old.

It really appeals to me that they don't have a designated 'kiddie area and adult area - theres a little bit of everything everywhere which means everyone an enjoy all day - rather then just when you are in'that part of a park'

I think Disney does a great job of incorporating things for people of all ages...

but I quess you would have to go to know...

Being that I've seen white haired people hobbling about with canes and walkers, wearing HUGE grins, I'd say NO! :teeth:

I have been going for over 30 years, and I haven't outgrown it yet. :goodvibes

I was thinking the same thing with all the fuss about the increase in ECV's inthe parks.

IMO too old is when you stop breathing.

My ideas of too young are pretty simlar too. After all both my girls have been before they were born, and then again in the 1st year of their life (my youngest went twice before she was 1 year old.) :goodvibes

My answer is in my signature! :goodvibes

Nope, you can't be too old for WDW, especially if you are still young at heart. I am planning on a visit in the spring or fall of '07 after my youngest child graduates from college and I will be almost 55. Do I feel too old? Heck, no!!! Some of the interests may shift a little and my bad knee and back may slow my walk down a little, but I still love the rides, the smells, the sounds, the whole World. There's always something for everyone to enjoy and that is one of the best things about the World. Also consider how old Walt himself was during all the planning. Of course he approached it from the business perspective, but he also had all those great ideas about ways to have fun bouncing around in his head.

I like to think that someday when I have grandchildren they will be having fun right along with me!

NO WAY!! I would really feel sad for someone if they actually felt they were TOO OLD for WDW....maybe I'm exaggerating, but I think that would speak volumes about their outlook on life and inability to allow the little things to bring such happiness :)

No.

I went for the first time at 8. It was a done deal for me that first time in '73. I cried through an attraction because I loved the place so much and was so thanful to Walt Disney for making his dream come true. I still cry every trip--every time at "One Man's Dream". I can't help it. I have the same thankful feeling come over me as I did as when I was 8yo.

My DH went for the first time when he was 27. I will never forget him getting off a ride and saying, "No one should have to wait until they are 27 years old to experience this."

My parents enjoy WDW. My mom is 68yo and has an autograph book filled with auographs that she has stood in line for.

No, you are never to old for Disney and when the day comes I am too old to physically go there, I suppose the Good Lord can just take me home! :)

My grandparents stayed with us for a night while we were at VWL in April. Both were 80 at the time. We took them to Kona Cafe for dinner, and when we finished eating, Grammy, with a grin just like a little kid said, "Do you think we could take a ride on the monorail? PLEASE?!" Later that evening Grampa danced with us (and we're teens) to the music of the EWP on the beach at the WL.
So no, you're never too old

You are never too old for WDW or any Disney park for that matter!

Have you been talking to my mother? :teeth:

She told me that I was too old for such stuff and needed to pick adult destinations for vacations. (If it were up to her we wouldn't even go on vacations)

As you can see by my tickers, I'm not listening to dear old mom!!

Too old for Disney?!?!? NEVER!!!!!!!!
