YEAH!!! It's nearly the weekend. And a lovely long one at that!! So what are you doing, anything?!?!

It's Notts' last home match of the season, so we will be going to that. then our usual pint (of shandy for me!) afterwards. We are going to the pub on sat night to get merry!! Out with friends on Sunday night, a rare treat as I usually go to bed early on a sunday! si is working Monday, so I will have a lazy day to myself.

What are your plans?

verity.

ps Hope it doesn't :umbrella:

Ah bliss - long weekends = short weeks afterwards ;)

Well, the weather forecast for down here on the south coast is looking halfway reasonable :sunny: So, Saturday - DD is doing her first junior sailing session of the year, then friends over for takeway in the evening :cool1: ; Sunday - get our boat in the water for the first time this year and then DD is rehearsing for the play she is in later in June, that's most of Sunday afternoon, then our friends are over for late afternoon and evening for dinner to disuss the arrangements and decide exactly where to go for our ski holiday to the US for next Feb/March :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Am I excited, or wot

Monday - I reckon that's going to be a nice relax in the garden type day if it's nice. If it's not, well we'll find something to do, but the nice thing is NO plans yet, so we can choose what to do.

Hope you all have a nice weekend, whatever you're doing :flower:

As I've been signed off work until May 16th (double hernia op Monday 18th April) I won't be "benefitting" from a long weekend ;)

However, I'll be looking out for Shrewsbury's result (quality footy in League two eh Verity?). Sunday, I'll probably direct DW on gardening while I sit there sipping wine :teeth: , and Monday will probably be very similar :wave2: .

Here's hoping for some good weather.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: i will be looking for the leicester result on sunday and hoping that derby beat cov so they get relegated to :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
other than that we are planning to treat the kids to a nice day out on monday but no firm plans as yet :)
have a great weekend off everyone :sunny:

Out to dinner with friends tomorrow night. A day gardening I hope on Saturday followed by a BBQ. Visiting DD1 in Swansea on Sunday, roped into doing her garden!!! A day relaxing on Monday. It's most unusual for DH to have a whole BH W/E off so we're going to make the most of it.

We are celebrating our anniversary with a party this Saturday and I am *praying* :wizard: for good weather, we have employed a party planner for the event with full catering - and I am hoping to make good use of the gardens, considering with have almost 200 guests coming :scared1: !

DH is playing golf on Sunday  having just returned from a trip to the US with his Dad to watch the Masters  I told him that I am "owed" a holiday by myself too now, so a friend and I are thinking of a long weekend somewhere exciting ;) On Monday we are taking the children to Legoland.

Hope everyone has a great, happy, long weekend :) and that the weather is nice :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Hi all

What joy a long weekend! We're planning to take the DS's to the pic's Sunday morning to see Magic Roundabout and then weather permitting take them to Chester Zoo on Monday. But after spending 2 weeks in Florida eveything back home is a bit of a anti-climax!!!!!

Hope you all have a good weekend whatever your doing :)

P.S. Verity - Me and DH used to live near yourself in Warsop, in a cute little flat over the flower shop. :wave2:

Oh dear! We have no plans yet (apart from a little shopping urge I feel coming on ;) ) so I'd better get cracking!

I hope everyone has super weather (especially you, Frances, ;) :teeth: )

Hi All

Just sigining in very quickly as I have to be up at 5am tomorrow morning. I am flying to Valencia with eight of my friends to celebrate a 40th birthday. We are staying in a lovley 4 star hotel with swimming pool and I hope to be eating, drinking and shopping all weekend.

Have a great weekend all and speak to you Monday.

Sue

Nothing really thrilling. DD has two bithday parties, so no doubt I will be chaperoning those. She is booked into a free kids club at our gym on Sunday, so that will be 2 hours with only one child to entertain...will probably take the other one swimming!

Now our house move has finally collapsed in a big heap after 8 months, our normal weekend pursuit of "house hunting" can be replaced with shopping!

Oh, DH and I are going to see "Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy" on Sat night, so looking forward to that!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Allie

Oh Sue, I'm not jealous at all!!!

Not much planned for now.....but both DH and I are off Monday.....do hopefully have a nice day out with the kids. The rainy day alternative would be DIY.........

When you've finished DD's garden, if you fancy popping over here, ours could do with some attention, too! ;)

Unfortunately, we have a sad w/end ahead of us as we'll be travelling up to m-i-l's ready for f-i-l's funeral on Tuesday :( He died last week after five weeks in hospital, so it wasn't totally unexpected, but a shock nevertheless. It's also DH's birthday today, so he's having a real roller-coaster of emotions at the moment. Lots of TLC in order, I think :)

Not a lot planned for this weekend as for me it's just a normal weekend then back to work monday.

We are taking the kids to see scooby doo on sat night in blackpool.

We're not doing anything special, perhaps I'll get some washing and packing done. The weather here is gorgeous at the moment and we've got the sun chairs out trying to make an early start on our tans :sunny:

Hope you all have a good Bank Holiday weekend
