Are you throwing a party? Are you going to a party? What will you be doing tonight in preparing for the upcoming year?

I am going to be throwing a little family get together early this evening. It will not be anything special but I will be cooking. We will sit around and eat and play Disney Scene It! 2nd edition - I just bought it today, I had to have it!;) Then, around 9 or so, I will go over to my Grandmother's (who lives in the same apartment complex) and ring in the new year by watching the specials. We would do it here but I choose not to have cable. :rotfl:

So, what will you be doing?

I am making all kinds of goodies, I am super excited. I hope 2008 is better than 2007. This past year has been horrible to me. So, I am going to start the new year off right!

I don't drink much but I did get some Strawberry Daiquiri coolers - that is about all my body can handle.

Chris!

That sounds like a really fun night!

I don't think we are doing much of anything except watching the ball drop on TV.

It's nice they keep reanimating Dick Clark to do this!

Some family friends are hosting their annual NYE bash. I went last year and it was so much fun. Mark goes all out buying favors and poppers and hats and noise makers. Last year we had a silly string fight. They do karaoke and outside on the patio is a hot tub and huge fire pit if you want to ring in the New Years outside. Last year it was well below freezing with a foot of snow on the ground so we couldn't do that. But perhaps this year we will.

Plus they get like two cases of sparkling wine from Gruet Winery which is local so there is always plenty of booze to drink.

I am looking forward to having a great time this year.

DH and I will eat an early dinner at our favorite restaurant. From there, we will go home and watch TV. Hubby will be asleep by 9:30 and I will stay up to watch the ball drop along with DISing. Exciting...huh?

Nothing special at all really, just a normal kinda of night around here. DH is out of town on an overnight so the girls and I are going to watch Ratetouiee (sp?) and eat popcorn.

I promised my 8 yr. old that she could stay up to watcht the ball drop, I just hope I can make it that long.

We are going out with friends for an early dinner and then bowling. After bowling we are all coming back to our house for the adults to play Wii and the kids will play Rock Band. Sounds exciting huh? popcorn::

I'm going to my dads and grandparents in a couple hours for a late Christmas.
Probably be back around 9 or so and then I'll just get back on DIS, start scrapbooking disney pictures and watch the CSI marathon.

Just me and DH tonight.
We will be dining on assorted appetizers and watching Harry Potter....goint to start that soon. I plan on all 5 of them tonight and tomorrow.

We usually stay in and get chinese food, but I am just getting over a stomach bug and poor DH has it now. So no chinese this year, just going to relax and watch some tv and I am sure neither of us will make it until midnight.

No. I sorta wish I were, but as the evening's been going along, I'm feeling worse and worse (stupid viral thing I've been fighting for close to a week now), so I guess it's best that I be away from people tonight. :sad2:

I'm staying in tonight, the constantly changing weather has me looking like Rudolph the red nose reindeer. Kick back and watch GAC and that's about all I got planned.

We always choose to stay home with our kids, 8 and 4. We had a bunch of appetizers and later on we're going to have chocolate fondue. This is our tradition every NYE. We're going to watch POTC At World's End and stay up until midnight. I always get some sparkling grape juice or apple cider for the kids. (and myself, I don't like alcohol!)

Shelby

P.S. We were going to do a Harry Potter-a-thon but I think the last movie is a bit much for my 4 year old.

Just staying home and enjoying the new year.

Yes, I am cooking the little wieners instead of my wife!

Mikeeee

Not going out tonight sadly. I thought at first I might be watching some friends kids while they went out but that didn't pan out. Instead I'll be DISing, playing games, & watching the ball drop.

I'm doing NOTHING - I'm in my PJ's - kids are in bed -

Is it just me? or does anyone else feel like I do in that it doesn't FEEL like New Year's Eve!!??
