Are YOU arriving Aug. 26th???

I wanna go back RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

Hey everybody!! OP here checking in to see how everyone's trip was. We had a GREAT time but I'll write a more detailed report as soon as I get some much needed stuff done around here. I want my maid service!!!!!! :guilty:

We had a wonderful time. We were at POR in the Acadian House in room 8306. We were at the quiet pool. I wasn't upset that we weren't in AB we were happy with our room. We had a corner room so we had two windows. Flights were smooth but drama going home. We were at DD and were going to take the boat back but it was thundering and lightening so they shut the boats down. We took the bus and they picked up people from Typhoon Lagoon. This was 4:15pm. Got stuck on the bus until 6:10pm. Missed the bus to the airport and had to get another bus to pick us up. Thank Goodness for hotel flight check in. Had boarding passes and when we got to the airport there were no lines for security check in so we were at the gate at 8pm and our flight left at 8:50pm. Flight landed at LaGuardia at 11:06 and we were home by 12am.

I must say the lines weren't too bad. I have seen worse. Longest wait time on a ride was 30mins. That was Expedition Everest. It was better to wait because the fast pass time was 4 hours later.

1st day - Sunday-we did- Boma-loved it. Then went to DD. Did Disney Quest. Found my favorite spot. The Margarita Stand. Whew. Hit that quite often.

2nd day- Monday- we did Donalds Breakfastasarus at AK- Stayed for about 3 hrs. Did Expedition Everest and Kali Rapids. Was back at hotel at 12pm and stayed in the pool. Went to DD again for the evening.

3rd day- Tuesday- Did SciFi dine in for lunch. Stayed there all day. Did Rock and Roller Coaster 3 times. Watched Fantasmic. Loved it as usual.

4th day- Wednesday- Chef Mickeys for breakfast. First time there. Loved it. Went to Typhoon Lagoon. Did Humunga Kowabunga and tore a new one. If you know what I mean. The wave pool was exhausting. Like a 40 minute workout. We all got on Crush and Gusher. Almost flew out of the tube. Fun though. Went to MK and watched the fireworks.

5th day- Thursday- Epcot day- Dinner at LeCellier. Did all the usual rides. Never done Mission Space and don't want to.

6th day- Friday- Breakfast at Crystal Palace-stayed most of the day and then went back to DD. Got our Beef and Bleu sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich (to die for) and of course I hit my Margarita Stand.

7th day- Saturday- Lunch at Coral Reef- First time. Was okay. Left and went back to MGM- Guess why? You got it. Rock and Roller coaster again. At request of son. Went to MK to watch the spectromagic parade and the fireworks again.

Sunday and last day- Got up 7am to take luggage to lobby to check in. Went to AK and ate at Pizzafari for breakfast. Did EE again with son. Hubby did A bugs life while we waited to get on EE. Hopped to DD to DQuest again. Got my Margarita for the road and then disaster on the bus. Glad I had my drink.

All in all it was a wonderful trip.

I forgot to mention the phone call. Woke up son at 7am. Made sure he went to the bathroom. Still didn't catch on. We were fully dressed and didn't even question it. Phone rings at 7:15am. Mickey calls. He is listening and still doesn't catch on. Had this perplexed look on his face. So I tell him we are going to Disney World. Still doesn't catch on. They called a 2nd time. He hears it again. Starting to get it now. So he asks, when are we going? I tell him right now. OH BOY. He starts jumping up and down and asking where are his clothes. It was priceless until..........how are we getting there? Uh, by plane? You know I am afraid of heights. Thought I was going to have a problem but once we bought the earplugs and gave him a watch which by the way we said was from Mickey, we were good to go. Smooth flights on time and arrived early. The lines to get to the bus to get to the hotel was kind of long. I see they changed the direction of the lines to get on the bus.

Hehe, I know how that feels; However! This is the FIRST time we have returned that I was actually glad to get home. We had a GREAT trip, but, I think as it was our second one this year, and I can't believe I am even saying this, we have a little Disney burnout, LOL. Probably the heat and all that I guess.

In a nutshell, we stayed at CBR, had a GREAT room, great service, and fantastic times at the park. Our ONLY complaint was the Crystal Palace breakfast with Pooh. We were there nearly 2 hours, and Pooh never even visited our table. :( On top of that, Piglet walked right by without ever stopping. Our DD was a little upset over this, but got over it when we saw the real, live "Captain Jack Sparrow" in Adventure Land later that day! :thumbsup2 I will definitely have to post some pics of that when I get a chance, and also do a small trip report when time permits!

Glad you had a magical time!

Amen! I hear ya on the heat. I was so glad to get back. Went from such high humidity and 95 to no humidity and 75 yesterday!!!:cool1: LOL! I need a vacation from my vacation!

Yeah it was hot as HADES out there. I didn't mind at all when my son wanted to go back to the hotel to hit the pool. I also have to admit that I was a little burned out. I was actually glad to get home. Have to get ready for next year. LMAO.

Have to get ready for next year. LMAO.

Absolutely! Were already planning on making next years reservations, probably 1st week of May, by November of this year! :lmao:

Yeah, as glad as I am to be home, I'll be MORE than ready to go back by then! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

Thought I'd post a little report from us...

Arrived Sunday...head to MGM for dinner & Fantasmic...too much rain, left before the show.

Monday...19th Anniversary Breakfast at Chef Mickeys then family pool time then off to Epcot for afternoon and dinner at LeCellar for anniversary followed by preferred viewing for Illuminations....well, almost DD10 says she is not feeling well after we had ordered dinner...mom takes her back to WL praying she doesn't toss until we get back...she made it!!! No anniversary dinner for Mom, no Illuminations. This was not the day I had hoped for, but DD10 didn't throw up!!!

Tuesday... DD's "secret day" DD13 and DH go swimming with the dolphins and have a great time. DD13 has pedicure after the dolphins and loved it. DD10 & I have pedicures, followed by DD10 doing BBB. She loved being dressed up and looking like Cinderella for the Pirates & princess party that night. No wait for rides...missed the parade, missed the show, but saw the great fireworks!!! Very tired family!!

Wed...Off to AK , breakfast with Donald...didn't care for this one. Did the usual big rides right away...little wait on any. Didn't do EE. Left around 2 for naps before Hoop De Doo...Great show ok food.

Thurs... Off to MK Breafast with Cindy...WONDERFUL!!! spent the day hoping to see a dream team person since we had not seen one...still no luck. Ride waits were non existent!!! Kids loved Big Thunder Mtn. Went on 3 times!!!
Went to Mickey's Backyard BBQ...don't waste your time on this unless you have kids under 7. Characters wouldn't dance with the older kids. We left within about an hour. Went back to MK for wishes and a few more rides.

Friday...More MK for 1/3 the day. Went to DD to see Cirque De Solei...GREAT SHOW!!!

Sat...pack up to leave.

Got home and :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: all day Sat & Sun. Slept 12 hours the first night!!!

Now the kids are asking if I am having withdrawl symptoms:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I don't have anything to plan now:confused:

I am so wrapped up in back to school prep I have not been able to post one comment. Had a wonderful time! Will post details and pics later. I can wait to reconnect with my fellow Aug 26ers.

Talk to you guys soon!

Hey Harlemgirl, I'm glad you were able to pull off the surprise!

We had a great time and are sad to be home, especially since we all caught colds there. Actually DS got sick first, gave it to his sister, who gave it to us. Ugh.

CBR was great except for a couple of little problems. Someone used one of our TS credits! Lucky that I noticed we were short one before our last dinner, and I wasted a couple of hours in the Custom House trying to get it straightened out and missed Fantasmic and DH was mighty mad, both at the situation and at me because I wanted to get the problem fixed right away. Then we weren't able to get our boarding passes to go home because we have an apostrophe in our last name and the airline check-in people couldn't get it to print. We had to lug the luggage to the ME bus and then check it in ourselves at the airport and we were not pleased. We wanted to go to MGM one more time on our last day and that cut severely into our time there.

On a happy note, I guess we got upgraded because we booked stanard rooms at CBR and got a room in Trinidad North, which is a preferred section. It was right across from the bus stop which was great, and 2nd floor, which was nice and quiet although a pain with the stroller. I never heard a peep from our neighbors the entire stay. It was across the parking lot from the food court too!

Other than that, we had a great time. CBR was beautiful and there wasn't much of a wait at the parks. I saw PamMouslover's DIS sign in her window and met another Disser at MGM. I can't remember her exact user name but it had something to do with the Tower of Terror. Nice people. They saw my LGMH and when I came out of Tower of Terror, my DH was all excited saying that someone from "some board" was looking for me, and then I ran into them later.

The free dining was great, but I wouldn't pay for the plan, especially after they make the changes. There was just too much food. I made ADRS for when we go back in November (paying OOP) just because I wanted to try a few places that we missed (and Le Cellier again), but I think on any future trips we'll just do CS. Going to the restaurants took too much time and we didn't like watching the time constantly. We were on Ellen's Energy ride and I was panicking because it's a long ride and we had to be at San Angel Inn soon. Luckily it wasn't far away.

We got dream ears after getting off a ride, which was fun. I wish we won the Castle stay, but that's ok. We have one more shot in November.

The P&PP was great on the 31st. We thought it was going to rain, but it didn't. I didn't get to see Jack, but we went on a bunch of rides over and over and the fireworks were wonderful. The parade was so-so I thought (too dark), except for Jack on the top of the pirate ship.

Too bad DS wasn't feeling well and very tired and we had to leave a little early. He can't take the heat. DH didn't fare well either. He didn't drink enough and got very dehydrated and his legs were killing him and he kept falling asleep in the middle of the week. Finally on Thursday, I told them that they are all going back to the room right after dinner and going to sleep, and I was going to go back to MK to see Spectro and Wishes, and I did. DH felt better the next day.

We're not doing the bounceback thing because the dates are too late and the kids have to be back at school by then. If the free dining comes out like it did this year, we'll see if we can work something out. Otherwise we'll probably just go to Hershey Park like we usually do because it's cheaper and we can drive there.

We are going back in Nov for 4 nights/5 days thanks to a trip that we won and plan on enjoying the Beach Club and not run around the parks so much. I love that we can just walk to Epcot, and MGM too I think. I hated the buses, just because I had to carry the stupid stroller for DD.

So I'm sad to be home, but my feet are happy because comfy shoes or not, I got blisters. We got home around 12:00 a.m. Sunday and I was out of it for 2 days, I was so tired.

We're home too, but I'm not depressed - too much- because we're going back in Nov. Now when I write in Nov, I'll be really depressed. :rotfl2:

Came home to wake with shingles on my face- I'm in a lot of pain and look just lovely. Now I know why I didn't feel so great while at disney.

I'm praying the Nov trip goes better- no illness, and NO rain.

Ditto here! I keep wanting to type up a quicky trip report, and post some new pics, but MAN, with a 5 year old just starting kindergarten the day after we got back, it's been rough.

I'm really anxious to update our web site as I FINALLY obtained pics of "the real" Captain Jack Sparrow ;) along with some GREAT shots of Divine, along with some video of her. :goodvibes

Now, just to find the time!

We're back too and school has slowed down my posts...not for kids but for me. Got back late Saturday night after a great week. Boy I have never been so HOT at WDW before. The sun was brutal.
CandiKayne - we were neighbors in Martinique I saw your window. I had a small LGMH in our window next to the towel animals. DH would not have been thrilled with a big announcement:rotfl2: Tried peeking out a couple of times in the hopes of spotting you, but no luck. We were probably busmates without knowing it.

We had 8:00 ressies also. We were in the first room when you enter the restaurant. We were dissapointed that once we were done we could not go anywhere until 9am when the park opened and we wanted to go on the safari first thing...we could not have been any further from the safari as we were in dino land:lmao: Oh well, the lines weren't too bad.:rotfl:
