Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I'm very introverted--extremely shy:blush: and prefer being by myself. I do wish I could be more outgoing, but it's just not in me. What kind of person are you?

Is there an "inbetween"? I'm not shy but yet I'm not that extroverted either......

I guess if I had to pick between the two, I'd say extroverted. My DH is definitely introverted!

If you met me, you'd say I'm extroverted, but being with people can really tire me and I love my alone time. I think I'm introverted. :D

I used to be extremely introverted. I make the conscientious effort to try to be more extroverted, but there are many times when I can't make that effort.:o

I'd have to say another in-between or maybe dual personality. There are times I love, even need to be by myself. Really enjoy when no one is at home and have the house to myself. But wouldn't want it too often, I'd get lonely.

I'm pretty sure I'm an extrovert :) I love time by myself too. Does liking time by yourself make you an introvert?

I used to be extrememly extroverted. I'd talk to anybody and 10 years ago I would have jumped at the chance to go to a DIS meet!
Since moving to a very small town 5 years ago I've become quite introverted. I get tired of the small town gossip. People want to hear all about my neighbors and I won't talk about them. My dh works for a large hospital that bought a smaller one. The first people I met when we moved to town lived next door to the house we rented. They were retired and his first words to me were "(Insert hospital here)isn't welcome here." Sigh... Like it was MY idea for their hospital to start going under and for their docs to approve the sale to the larger one. Unfortunately they aren't the only ones who don't understand how it all happened.
Anyway I've learned that in a smaller town sometimes you have to learn to tell people you live "in the country" instead of the neighborhood. And pray that nobody asks where your dh works.:(

I was in between until I moved. Everyone here is so insular that it's impossible to get people to talk to you, so I am extremely introverted now. I don't hardly try anymore. Almost four years and no friends - kind of resigned to it staying that way. :(

DH is an extrovert, but living here is affecting him, too.

Duncan dog, however, is the most outgoing dog I've ever seen. He even tried to climb in the UPS guy's truck.

Introvert here, but a lot of people would argue that with me! I'm heavily involved in community theater so people think I'm outgoing but it's really hard for me, especially around folks I don't know. Now my dh....that's a whole different story. He had more fun than I did at one of my class reunions. A true salesman/politician. Now my dd, 10, is showing herself to be much more like her mom...painfully shy.

New people think I am an introvert, I am pretty quiet around them.

I really am an extrovert and those who know me well know this.

Extrovert here!
I don't consider myself an extreme one though. I do like "ME" time.
I can play well with others or alone! LOL

Depends on where I am and who I'm with, but I lean more towards being an extrovert. Once you get me talking, you can't shut me up! :hyper:

On all of the personality tests that I've taken I've always scored smack dab in the middle. I'm a little bit introverted and a little bit extroverted. My husband is the poster child for extroverts!

I can be extrovert sometimes when I feel confident about myself and comfortable with people I am with.

I'm definitely an introvert as well. I may appear very outgoing but there are times when I'm sitting at a party our out and about that I wish I were sitting at home, in my room, with a book. I do enjoy socializing and having fun but since I was a little girl I've always been shy.

Anyone who's every met me KNOWS what I am...

TOTAL EXTROVERT!!! I talk to any and everybody, love meeting people and am just generally OUT THERE....

And my son is the nut that didn't fall too far from the "friendly" tree!:teeth:

At home, though, I'm very private and LOVE being alone! I prefer seeing others elsewhere but not at my home. Funny, but most of the people in my family are like that!
