Are you an impulse shopper?

Do you buy stuff on a whim or only when you really need something?

I'm an impulse shopper -- I'm not as bad as some impulse shoppers who buy cars and that sort of thing on a whim, but I can definitly spend money when I didn't think I was going too. I wandered into Yankee Candle the other day to see if they had any of the new scents I read about in the last catalog I got in the mail. The employee told me that the kitchen collection was on sale -- so I bought a couple jars. (And I was bummed when they didn't have any jars of the chocolate chip cookie -- they said it sold out fast.)

nothing major, but there are times when I will wander into a book store, or the disney store not planning on buying anything and see something that I just have to have. Threre are also sometimes when I manage to refrain and not buy it, but more often then not I do as long as it isn't to much money.

I impulsively put things in my cart at stores, but I usually change my mind and put stuff back before we check out. Drives dh nuts ! Nine times out of ten, I leave with exactly what I came in for.

Not particulary... but only if there is a true bargain, and I can get a good resale v alue from it.

I'm a terrible impulse buyer!! It's a good thing my daughter is grown or I would be spending a fortune at the Disney store these days!! I've found that staying home is the cure for this disease!! Now if I could just find a way to block Ebay on my computer ....

Sort of, at times I am an impulse shopper. For me the best way to curb it is to either not go into a store at all or to limit myself to the area in a store that has the item I actually came in to buy. Of course if I am shopping for a broad catagory, like clothes, rather than a 'black skirt' I won't find a thing and go home without anything, lol.

Yard sales are really good for encouraging impulse shopping!
