When I'm just itching to travel and can't, I like to use Google Earth to "fly" around the world and look at the photos people have posted. The little blue squares when you zoom in close enough. Or the 360 degree photos. Lots of fun things on Google Earth.

Currently, I'm just itching to go somewhere. ANYWHERE. But not able to. ITs driving me crazy. I just want to scream.

YES! but i use google maps to revisit places that i have already been!

Once, I even went as far as pricing out what it would cost to rent an RV, and planned a road trip traveling the beautiful areas of our country.

Now THAT's bad. :lmao:

Google Earth is cool because sometimes you find that these "dream" places don't seem so dreamy from the air. I am guilty of traveling by Google Earth as well. :surfweb:

I think that's great! You have to dream big.

I didn't know there was a name for what I do!!
I have to say, the answer would definately be yes! I am an armchair traveler.

My friends say I need to go into the business, I should be making money on how much I know about travel. Hmmmm....:)

I posted this over on the cruise board a while ago, but any armchair traveler would probably like to read this man's adventures and see his photos. He practically lives on board cruise ships and blogs with pictures of all his world travels. I really envy him!

* You'll have to scroll down on the 2nd site to read about his last voyage. Looks like he is home right now, getting ready for his next 223 day (!) cruise on 9/19.

I can't imagine packing for that!
