Are you an AP holder?

We only visit the world once a year and do not have any AP's.. in the furture we plan to start going more often and will at that time make the purchase!! woo hoo!!

AP's are good for one year after the first time you actually use the pass at the park not on the purchase date.

We became unexpected AP holders this past Oct.

We purchased 10 day no expiry/hopping tickets from an online retailer last summer for our trip in Oct. We planned on using 5 in Oct. and save the rest for another trip. This was before the price increase for Disney tickets in August and the online retailer offered the tickets at a great discount off of the WDW online and gate price for the same ticket. Long story short, I heard/read something that led me to call the WDW ticket center before our trip and they informed me that no matter what I payed for the ticket or the fact that I bought it from an online discount retailer, WDW would give me credit for the gate price of each ticket toward an AP. BTW- the ticket we bought now cost more than an AP. Anyway, they did and I got 4 AP's and a refund of $24 and change.:cool1: No questions asked.

Downside, they expire. Upside, 3 GREAT trips in one year that are memories my children will never forget!

We live 500 miles from Disney and camp in an Americamp 5th-Wheel.

We have used our AP's 2 times and have one more trip planned for this August before they expire.

Oh that's cool! Thanks!

I was thinking about this too. We tend to go once a year as well, but if you plan it right, you can use the AP twice in the 1 year period. We go in Oct this year, and next year, we'd go right before they expire.

We have been AP holders in the past but now that we spend more time at the Fort than we do at the parks, we purchase the 10-day park hoppers non-expiring and they last us a couple of years. When we were AP holders, we would go between 3-4 times a year....and sometimes squeezing in a day or two before or after a DCL cruise.

You will absolutely LOVE :lovestruc the MNSSHP! We went during our GG last Oct. and it was more fun than I can describe! I am not a big fan of Halloween(just never got into it!?!) but my kids have always loved dressing up and trick or treating. The party was so over the top! Between the decorations, dance parties, and trick or treating you will have a blast! The amount of candy you get should be illegal!;)

I was in awe of the lengths some people went with their costumes! To me the best part was the parade. The headless horseman was AWESOME!:worship:

Have a wonderful time!:thumbsup2

Actually, this is not entirely true. This is the way it used to be regardless, but now. If you buy the actual pass, then it's from date of purchase. HOWEVER, if you buy a voucher for a pass, then it's from date of first use b/c you have to exchange the voucher for the pass. You have up to 30 days before & after date of expiration to renew at discounted rate.

We are AP holders. (Have been in the past, then became cast members, then couldn't afford it, then moved to OH, then moved to NJ. Then moved back to FL & got tickets & entrance from cast member friends, then In-Laws bought us the APs from Christmas this past year.) We have to renew in Dec, so we'll renew 3 then, but don't know about youngest son. He'll turn 3 in May of 2009. So, if we get his pass in May, then he'll be out of sinc w/ the rest of our passes. So, not sure what we're going to do about that.

Right now, b/c we live so close, we go when we feel like it (like tomorrow after oldest son's soccer game). We'll be camping at the fort for the first time in a month. But are planning out several more trips for later this year.:cool1: We tent though. 10-person Jeep tent.

I get an AP approximately every other year. I'll get one this October 26th, and go for a week in October, two weeks in December, a very long weekend in April and probably a week in early October next year. When the upcoming AP expires, it will be October 2010 before I get another one.

I live 690 miles from the Fort and have a 16 foot Dutchman T@B.

That's what we usually do. Sometimes we can squeeze in 3 trips/year. We're about 900 miles away.

I've been a passholder since 95. Didn't go a lot in 99 and 00 but we have been pretty much since then. When mine expire I don't usually renew until our next trip even though it saves u a few bucks because it's usually 3-4 months before we go again. Now if the voucher thing worked and it didn't expire from my renewal then I would do that. I'm just not willing to let them sit for a 1/4 year for $25 savings each.

DD and I are thinking about doing the Premium AP's this year. She at least will have it so she can go to the waterparks during the summer.
