If so how often do you go to Fort Wilderness and how far do you live from Fort Wilderness. What type of rig do you have?

We are picking up our AP for our June trip. We have a 6 day trip in June, 8 days in Sept, and 6 days in Dec. We are about 5 hours away from Disney. We have a 2008 Heartland North Trail 280BH toyhauler TT.

Yes. It's around 900 miles one way with a 31' TT and we try and go twice on one passport for 30 to 40 days each trip at FW. The last time we were at FW from 16 Dec 2007 till 25 Jan 2008 and will be going back from 20 Oct 2008 to 1 Dec 2008. Then we will probably take a year or two off and then repeat.

I live 25 miles from FtW. We go to WDW once a week (on average) and also take our bicycles to FtW once a week for day trips. Until recent budget crunch when DH became unemployed, we would camp at FtW on average of every other month for a weekend and at least 1-2 weeks, twice yearly. We have a 32' Itasca Meridian Diesel MH w/2 slide outs.

We've had AP's since the late 80's.

We live around 30 minutes away from Fort Wilderness and try to go at least 3-4 times per year for long weekends. We will go for a week during the summer. We like to "rough" it at Fort Wilderness!

We have a 31' Thor Tundra TT and we have annual passes.

Yes We have annual passes and go to the Fort an average of 7-8 times a yr. We live 480 miles away and we have a 2001 Four Winds 28' class C.

We have seasonal passes, live about 1hr away, we had been going about once a month, have trips in April, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, none yet for other months. We have a 36ft Class A with 2 slides

We all have AP passes. We have 4 kids, but the baby won't be 3 until our August trip, so we'll get his AP then. We live 1200 miles from FW, and have been going to Disney 2-3 times a year. Having the AP makes us go more often, since the tickets are already paid for!:goodvibes

I just looked a the prices for the AP and I'm sitting here kicking myself for wasting money!

I don't get an AP every year, but I have one currently. We were at FW in November for 8 nights and again in March for 8 nights. We'll go back again in November. We usually go twice in a year, although DD (who also has an AP) has been 4 times since November - she went once with her school band and once with a friend. We live in between Chicago and Milwaukee and camp in a Haulmark toterhome or a Heartland fifth wheel.

We are AP holders and have a 34ft 1994 Monaco Dynasty Coach. We live about 148 miles south of Disney and try to go every couple of months. Every once in a while, we will go for a day trip, but it is hard on the DS4. Before the DS, we would go every month.

We will be AP holders as of this June for the first time. We will be at AKV in June and at the Fort for Christmas and New Years. Being DVC members we get a $100 discount on the AP so we felt it was worth it. We tow a Forest River Pop Up 625 D. Love it!

Here's a question to through everyone OT. We will be getting the Dining Plan in June when we go to AKV but is the DDE worth it for when we go to the Fort in December? I love the Boards!

I reading this and getting VERY jealous of all you lucky people who go so often..and especially of those who live so close!

Three times in the last year; only one of those was at FW though, once at SoG and the next trip in a time share -- first time since early 2000 that we've stayed off-site. Get an AP when more that one trip is planned.

AP's are good for one year after the first time you actually use the pass at the park not on the purchase date.

We became unexpected AP holders this past Oct.

We purchased 10 day no expiry/hopping tickets from an online retailer last summer for our trip in Oct. We planned on using 5 in Oct. and save the rest for another trip. This was before the price increase for Disney tickets in August and the online retailer offered the tickets at a great discount off of the WDW online and gate price for the same ticket. Long story short, I heard/read something that led me to call the WDW ticket center before our trip and they informed me that no matter what I payed for the ticket or the fact that I bought it from an online discount retailer, WDW would give me credit for the gate price of each ticket toward an AP. BTW- the ticket we bought now cost more than an AP. Anyway, they did and I got 4 AP's and a refund of $24 and change.:cool1: No questions asked.

Downside, they expire. Upside, 3 GREAT trips in one year that are memories my children will never forget!

We live 500 miles from Disney and camp in an Americamp 5th-Wheel.

We have used our AP's 2 times and have one more trip planned for this August before they expire.

We are PAP holders and have been for about 3 or 4 years but that may change next year. I've always liked the fact that with PAP, you can go anywhere and do anything as much as you like (Parks/Water Parks/Disney Quest) and hop between all of them at will. We usually go for 2 weeks in June and again sometime in the fall for a week.

However, that's not really enough to justify the cost with as much as PAP's have went up in price. It used to be that having a PAP got you some extra discounts on Room/camp site that off-set the cost enough to justify but now they seem to be trying to turn the loyal customers off. Now I actually get a better room/site price by using AAA and the other discounts just aren't enough to matter when it comes to the PAP.

I've figured it up and if I cut back to one trip a year, I'll save well over half the price of the pass. So by cutting the discounts on the passes, they are actually loosing money because many people are going to start dropping the passes and then cut down on the number of trips per year and when they really make more money from the secondary sources anyway (food in parks/trinkets/shirts...etc) it doesn't make sense.

I think what they don't realize is having a pass in your pocket is a major "mental excuse" to plan more trips to WDW than you normally would.:teacher:

We have seasonal passes and normally take about 3 trips of a week each a year.we have never even wanted to go when our passes were blacked out until this July 4 Gathering.
We have a 34' class a but could only get one slide..I'm sure everyone feels sorry for us and our plight.:lmao:
