Are you Afraid of the Dark?

This was one of my favorite shows as a kid, and I was wondering how many other people remembered it. It aired on SNICK back in 1992 to about 1996. Some of you might only know the recent episodes, which started in 1999 and only lasted a couple of seasons. I'm talking about the OLD episodes with Dr. Vink, and the original cast with Frank, Gary, Sam, etc.

I recently acquired all of the seasons (like 96 episodes or so) on DVD. It's been really neat being able to watch one of the first things that got me interested in the horror genre.

Anyone else remember this show?

I loved that show. SOOO much. I wish I had them on DVD. More importantly, I wish they would re-play it on Nick or Nick at Night, instead of all this crappy TV they have on now. I know they replay it on those channels that are up in the stratosphere, but we don't get them.

Bring back old Nick TV. =(

I remember at the end, someone would say something mysterious and then pour sand on the fire so the screen goes black.

IU can't belive they showed that horrific of a show to a station that little kids watch. Like the episode with the CHILDREN drowning in the pool because that blak thingy is pulling them under, I was a afraid to swim for years - yes years. That evil clown that spits gook and eats children - scared the crap out of me - I started crying. The one where the children get burned nearly to death by the fire or the one where the CHILD, innocent simple CHILD gets eaten ONSCREEN by baying hounds and screams and dies and yucky.
weird, killing and murdering children....yuck...not my type of show

Other shows that I thought were cool were Legends of the Hidden Temple, GUTS, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, and Wild And Crazy Kids.

Ahhhh, the early-mid 90's. Good times, good times.

OMG!!!!!! I use to LOVE! that show the lst time I saw it was like...... 1997 yea long time, but anyway I really wihs it never cancled I <3ed it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!! at times I got scared though

omg!!!!!! i loved that show!!!!!! and then i hated nick for taking it off.....than i went back to liking them....but i dont know why??? I didnt like animorphers though...that was scary!

seirously why does nickalodean have to take off classics like clarissa (which isnt even on the N anymore) pete and pete, my brother and me, doug, wild and crazy kids, that dance show with the people who like would dance or sumthin idk that was a lil before my time...they should also play some old all thats with like kenan kel josh and the whole gang...mann those were the days.

i loved it ^_^. in my 8th grade english class, the teacher had episodes taped, and around halloween she would play them. i loved being in her class for once o.x

Does anyoen remember what this show was called?? There were kids and they were partners and one team was called the barracudas I think and they had to run through like this temple or maze thing and people would jump out and grab them or something...lol. It was on Nick in the 90's but I can't remember the name of it. I loved the show though.

I remember that show, at the beginning i used to hate it, i thought it was freaky. But then as i got older i started watching it more and actually liked it.

Uuuuuugh. Another thing they try to do every once and a while is try to re-do old shows. When All That came back it really stunk.

Legends of the Hidden Temple. That and Are You Afraid of the Dark? were two of my favorite shows when I was little.
