luvdisney00 - You are lucky. This was the first offer I ever got from Chase for extra rewards. Were you not able to take advantage of the summer sale 30% off at all?

No, our trip is 8/22-8/27 so the 30% off ended before our dates. The last 2 weeks of Aug. are apparently considered fall. Hoping to hear really soon that something good (FD, FD, FD!!) is coming out.

We were really lucky with the DV offer, the timing was perfect. I'm really trying to charge all I can this first month (within our regular spending) and pushing some things like buys Mother's Day gifts and paying up our dance school tuition, buying June b-day gifts, so I can get the pts. ASAP since I heard there is a delay on bonus dollars. Also DH had to buy some things for work which he gets reimbursed for , which is great. I love racking up bonus pts. while spending someone else's money! Right now we have $700 in reward dollars, so I hope to have $1000 by the time my package balance is due in July.

YES! We have used it on all of our trips...have gotten a great package deal everytime because of it (the only reason we've been able to afford to go!) and we use it ALL of the time for EVERYTHING! We normally have around $500 in Disney rewards when we go banked up on the card and use it for food and souviniers!

Can't wait to use it again! :thumbsup2

I have the DV, but I don't like Chase either. Their interest rates are too high when they apply. I did just use it to book our trip for Sept, and NO; the new kids eat free doesn't help me at all. My DS is 21 so no deals for us. Have to wait to see if anything comes out on May 3rd (another thread). I'll have to pay it off quick so the interest doesn't negate the whole thing!

We have had a Disney Visa for years and use it for everything (and pay it off every month). That 1% really adds up . We use the rewards dollars to help pay for our APs every December.

Question:
Usually when you book using your Disney Visa you have to put a certain amount on the card to book the reservation. What if your vacation is already paid for but you want to add a Disney Visa promotion. How does that work?

We've had one for several years... we use it for all of our purchases and pay it off each month. We've never paid a penny in interest. It will pay for most of our park tickets this trip!

Yep. I'm also a charter member. I love that my card says member since: day one!

I know people complain about Chase a lot, but we have never had any issues with the card. And, I have gotten tons of Disney points over the years. :lovestruc

We have the Disney Visa and the reward points come in really handy for tips, drinks and other needs while at the parks.

I am annoyed at the APR - we have been users for a long time and paid our bills on time, etc. Last year they bumped us from a 5% to a 12% !I was steaming mad. But I guess they have me for life b/c as long as we go to Disney I will keep on using it.

I voted no, although my actual response would have been "not allowed".

I was interested in getting one years ago as nothing is cooler than having a card with something Disney on it, but as a Canadian I am not eligible.

This is my situation too. I even called Chase to ask about this as I know several Canadians that would sign up in a heartbeat. No go.

We had this - got credited $200 on our other card where we originally charged and paid $200 on DV. Other card was already paid off but just made a few charges on it to use up the credit.

YUP! I am not sure exactly why I got one, but I am SOOOO Thankful I did. I have 68 points already and will get mucho points when I actually book the cruise/WDW vacation since that goes for all things Disney, I am stoked!

I've been a Disney Visa cardholder for years now. I thoroughly enjoy all the benefits, especially the 6 months free financing for Disney Vacation package purchases.:thumbsup2

Just wondering how many DIS'ers feel the same. Are you a Disney Visa cardholder too?

Nope.

I don't have one but want one, cannot get them as a Canadian:(
But I'm in the process of moving to the USA so soooooon I will have one!
