Just for fun, are you mainly a fan of Disney's old stuff, their new stuff, or both? I'm definitely a fan of their newer stuff since my favorites are Lilo and Stitch, the Emperors New Groove, Finding Nemo, Atlantis, and the list goes on.... I do like the old movies like the Rescuers Down Under, 101 Dalmations, and if Beauty and the Beast counts as an older movie I like that one as well. Besides that though, the classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty sorta bore me. Anyone else? :earseek:

Some of each! My favorite Disney movies are Lilo & Stitch, Mulan, and Fantasia (original). My favorite rides are RnRC and Living with the Land. Go figure.

I grew up watching disneyland grow up, then first went to WDW in the 80's, long enough ago that they keep taking the classic attractions away. It causes a deep sense of loss.

I'm in the middle! I love Little Mermaid, B&TB, and Alladin. Also I love Snow White and Bambi.

As for the newest...not too into those...

I love the newer movies and things, but am definitley a fan of the older rides and stuff, I hate to see them blowing away... :(

As far as the rides go I'm with everyone who has hated to see them go! The old Figment ride (speaking of Figment how did he come about anyhow?) I miss the most! I'm 23 though so can't remember a lot of the older ones too well enough to miss them a lot, if I could I bet I would though! It's too bad WDW lacks the extra land to expand huh?

Both definatly. I feel, sadly, that all of the current creative energy is coming from Pixar who has made some great movies, but are about to split paths with Disney. Hopefully this will reinspire Disney higher-ups to redevelop and reenergize the creative departments.

Because whether you love the new, or the old, it's the same Disney Magic that draws you in.

Pixar realizes that, let's hope Disney can remember.

Excellent post ITA!

As much as I have loved and enjoyed everything Pixar has put out, I also felt a little sad it's wasn't coming directly from Disney and that, in my mind, Disney was turning it's back on their own great animators.

Hopefully Disney will remember.

I'm a fan of both. I do think that the best "disney" movies in recent years have been Pixar films. And it has nothing to do with the technology. Pixar is pure genius when it comes to writing a great story, developing great characters, and being incredibly funny and entertaining for both kids and adults. My all-time favorites have to be Toy Story and The Incredibles, with every other Pixar film close behind.
But there are also a lot of Disney movies, both old and new, that I really love.
I do agree that some of the recent movies haven't been that good. But I absolutely love Emperor's New Groove.

Here are my favorites (you can see that they come from varied Disney eras):
Snow White
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
101 Dalmatians
The Sword in the Stone
Jungle Book
Robin Hood
Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
The Lion King
Emperor's New Groove

Hello.

A bit of both from me!

I love the older films like Mary Poppins & Parent trap but I do like the new stuff aswell.

Animation wise I prefer the old Bambi & Aristocats stuff but I do like the comedy element found in the new things like Finding Nemo.

Just stick me on the fence! I love it all!

Im not sure when classic became modern; its all relative i suppose.

my favourite disney films are Lion King and Toy Story. Duck Tales rocked my world too lol.

I almost forgot about the live-action movies.
My faves(I guess they come from new and old also):
Mary Poppins
The Absent Minded Professor
Swiss Family Robinson
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Escape to Witch Mountain
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
Pirates of the Caribbean
Pete's Dragon
Parent Trap (new and old)

In terms of Disneyworld Attractions, I'm definitely a fan of Classic Disney if that can be defined as 80's Disney. (especially Tomorrowland and Futureworld) :)

In terms of movies, kinda tougher to tell. I have a soft spot for the classic Disney films (especially Alice in Wonderland, my favorite) but I also enjoy their new stuff: namely, the Incredibles ("Incredible" to me in every conceivable way, especially morale) and Emperor's New Groove :)

I like both the old & new Disney movies/shows. While growing up, it was all about DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Gummi bears, etc. I like the new Disney shows too, like Lilo & Stitch, Kim Possible, Proud Family, things like that. I love mostly all the Disney movies old & new also.

I'll always have a soft spot for the old Disney attractions - Horizons, World of Motion, the 1st Figment ride, etc. I like the new Stuff too. *Test Track, Splash Mountain*

I think i am in the middle-love the classics like Cinderella, Peter Pan, Snow White, Bambi..but you cant beat the new stuff too-Nemo, Lilo and Stitch and the Incredibles! :)

Well old in more than one way but young at heart. Hence our name, Wilderness Family was a Disney movie back in the 60's. I love the new stuff and am glad Disney can still deliver family entertainment. But I also like the old stuff and I feel bad that all the old attractions are going away...change is good but I feel like Disney owes it to keep some part of their own history alive in the parks by refurbishing the older rides. Trust me I like the new rides like Buzz Light year, but think Disney should not forget the history that made them famous.

Definitely, the new stuff. I love the music from B&TB, Alladin, Mulan, Little Mermaid etc. The only oldie that I really love is Peter Pan. pirate:

::MickeyMo One of My Old favorite animations is Donald's Bee pictures. I can't seem to find that video for sale anywhere! I also like all the new stuff too.

I'm planning a family trip to wdw for 2006 and looked forward to riding Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in MK and was sad to find out it was changed over to a Winnie the Pooh ride. I was 8 yrs old (27 now) when I went to wdw for my first and only time and I remember waiting in line for that ride and saw these little devils jumping out as the other riders were coming out. I was so afraid of seeing those devils, that when it was finally my turn to get on the ride, I covered my eyes the almost the entire time on the ride! I thought I'd have a chance to get on that ride again and enjoy it this time but now it's gone. :guilty:

mostly classic, but I do enjoy some of the new stuff too.

My first movie theater experience was at age 4, seeing Snow White. This was before VCRs and the classic Disney movies would be released at theaters every few years. The anticipation of seeing the Disney movies made them so much better. Therefore, I'm more of a classics fan, because seeing these movies takes me back to my childhood.
