I am a born-again-Christian, somewhat. One day I popped into a church and just felt an inexplicable feeling of peace and love. Never felt anything like it since and it’s never gone away.

FWIW, I AM DEFINITELY a born again practitioner. Until a number of years ago, I was destined to become a lawyer - I had a preference towards Criminal Law. Hated Property Law.

But one day, I found a small, 1.5 hour long course in hypnotherapy on Udemy. Sat it straight though and LOVED it. Inspired me to study further and, a year ago, was awarded my Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma. I pressed on and got further diplomas and branched out into associated practices, namely, Life Coaching, NLP Therapy and CBT. I am starting my biggest award yet in January 2025 and am fervently looking forward to it.

To be honest, the phrase "born again" has an extremely negative association in my mind.

I think you mean you reinvented yourself. I've never reinvented myself, but have thought about it and wanted to from time to time. If circumstances ever aligned, I might still do so. I think it's quite healthy to be able to redirect oneself onto a completely different path.
