Are WL & AKL too similar?

Let me start by saying, we LOVE the WL. We have been there 2 times. Our next trip (Nov 2005) we wanted to try something different & I have been drawn to AKL. I saw some pics of the lobby & it is very similar to WL (same architect from what I understand). Because we want to try something different, am I going to be disappointed in my choice of AKL? Are the 2 resorts too similar?

NO WAY!!!!!

You will see the similarities since you are a WL lover, but the AKL is just so much more, IMO, when you see the Savannahs for the first time.

Mara is a bit larger than Roaring Forks, but you do need to go outside to get to it.

The pool at AKL is much larger.

Now, I have only been to each of them once, but I personally found the CM's to be much more friendly and helpful at AKL.

I did miss my balcony view of Wishes though.....

You are correct that the lobbies are similar. However, the similarity pretty much ends there. The theming is different (of course), and at AKL, you have the savannahs. The restaurants are very different in their food offerings and the pools are quite different. We love AKL and I can't imagine that it would be disappointing to you because the lobbies are somewhat similar.
