Hey I'm in the same boat. We're down the 3 days till we leave from my place, but 4 until we arrive at WDW. My Fiance has been there a few times, but hasn't really experienced the magic as an adult, so that's what our weekend trip is for. I've got 3.5 more days of school work and classes and even an exam (tomorrow) to get through before I can go to the happiest place on earth.
So We've been doing disney movie nights to get us through. Each night after we've finished everything else that needs to be done in the day, and I've made sure it's the last thing we do before we go to bed. We watch a disney movie. We did beauty and the beast on halloween, and I was alone last night, so I did Tinkerbell. Tonight is Sleeping Beauty, Tuesday is Mulan, Wednesday is Cinderella, And Thursday (the night before we leave) is a disney movie marathon of our favorites: Lion King, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Pirates 2 and 3.
There's also a topic on the boards in the families section that I've used for ideas:
Family Disney-theme nights
They have ideas for meals and activities to do based on different movies or other disney things like attractions. There's one called "Twas the night before Disney".
That, and if I have some down time, I read Pre trip reports and trip reports on these boards. It's fun living vicariously through others while you wait for your own turn at the world.
Lastly: If I have to do school work, but I can handle background noise, I listen to
Disney Tunes Radio Network. You need to register, but it's free. There's several different stations. After you register, click the "music" tab. The mickey server lets you listen to all sorts of disney music. You can make requests on the mickey server. The minnie server is streaming music from movie soundtracks. The donald server is streaming music from the parks and the hotels. The daisy server is background area music from the parks and hotels. The goofy server is streaming music from parades and fireworks. And the pluto server does full attraction audios. So it's pretty diverse and fun.
