Hello! I'm Gabbie and I'm married to a real sweetie, Kenny. He is a supervisor at Wal Mart. I am a jack of all trades who works at home.

We travel to Disney world yearly and are heading back Sept. 21-29! This time....we are driving! Ken loves to drive. We are staying overnight in Alabama on the way.

Here's the thing: Ken thinks we are staying at All Stars Sports. We are actually staying at his favorite; Pop Century! :cool1:

So here is an update on our road trip....

All hotels are now booked! We are staying at a Days Inn in Birmingham, Alabama on the 21st. It's near a mall. :rotfl2: Kenny better keep me away....lol. I love shopping. I'm a woman, what can I say?

The first night we are there, I decided to skip the parks. Ken will be driving all day and I won't feel like navigating a park after being in a car. So instead, we are eating at House of Blues that night. We always have at least one downtown Disney night out together. :lovestruc

The night we come back on the 28th, we are staying in an Econo Lodge in Memphis in a room with a hot tub. And it's heart shaped!!!!! How corny is that?! I just had to book the room. The hotel is in Memphis on Elvis Presley Blvd. I figure it will be fun to relax the last night before we head home to the real world.

That's it for now.

Well, we are getting close!!!!!

I'm getting done with the travel planning and getting all the things we need! My goal is for us to coast into the final week with just me packing our stuff and having some chillax time before we go!

Here is our official itenerary after many changes!

09/26--our BIG Day!
Crystal Palace 9:15 a.m.
Magic Kingdom extra magic hours

09/27--Opening day of the Food and Wine festival

09/28--Ohana 9:25 a.m.

If I may offer some feedback....9/24 seems like a bit much, especially considering how expensive all 3 of those things are.

Universal opens at 9am, you will have to leave by about 3pm to get back to Disney to make a 5pm ADR at Yatchsman, then it will be easily 7-7:30 by the time you get back to your room and change fo MNSSHP. You won't get to MK until around 9pm which leaves you 3 hours for MNSSHP.

That is a lot of money to spend in one day to hardly be able to enjoy any of it because you are rushing around.

My personal opinion is to either drop Universal or MNSSHP

If you really want to go to Universal I would only do one day at Epcot.

Thank you for your feedback. :goodvibes

I showed Ken the itenerary and he thought that the 24th was a bit much. Lol.

So this is what we planned alternatively: epcot on the 24 with Yachtsman and mnsshp. (we already have tickets anyway)

On the 25th, do Universal instead of Epcot and leave the evening open. Then, we can do Epcot on the 27th for the F&W festival.

We've waited two years for Universal and want to enjoy it! :) MNSShp is tradition here; as much as breakfast at Crystal palace and downtown disney date night.

I've started checking off the list of all we need to do for the trip and I'm making progress. :cool1:

I got all my Halloween costume together and have a few outfits put out of the way I won't wear until we go. :thumbsup2

Kenny is checking off the days now as well. He is looking forward to this trip just to get away and have some fun.

Oh, we're going to Sea World! This was a last minute surprise and we are both so excited! Ken wants to ride the Manta. I am just looking forward to going; I've always wanted to go!

It'll involve moving things around, but we already have our tickets and everything, so we'll figure it out.

I'm so excited!!!!! Just one month to go!

Where did you end up putting Sea World in your itinerary? You're going to have an exciting vacation!

I will be posting a TR, I've just needed to cool down. This was the worst trip we ever had. I was  the whole time and a lot of what I planned just didn't work out.

We did go to Sea World and it was probably more fun than Disney this year.

Jem! Can't wait to see the costume. Blast from the past for sure!
