while my daughter and i pretend we're not freezing from the artic blast a/c in our room we patiently await security to bring us a new safe key. it didn't take long at all. the security person was very nice and seemed to work quickly while rubbing her hands together every now and then to warm them up and looking at us as we sat huddled together for warmth ourselves. that 'ol a/c wasn't cooling down none to fast. doesn't matter, we're in disney and i like a cool breeze every now and then. its very refreshing and revives the over excited and trying not to be tired traveler. my son reappears just after the frozen security girl leaves and we head off to our first park, the magic kingdom. we get to the bus stop outside the giftshop area just as a bus to the MK is pulling in. we get on happily, find seats and off we go. i'm soooo excited. i expected huge crowds since it was the 4th of july weekend begining but was surprised to see the usual number of people we usually see when we go. this is where i find out that i'm fast pass challenged. i send the son off to splash mountain to obtain these coveted pieces of paper while my daughter and i head to mickey's philharmagic along with other fast pass challenged guests who end up in the stand by line( should be known as the sit by line cause its a loooong wait). its very hot and humid out and now we're actually longing for our good old friendly a/c in our room. we end up waiting for an hour. on the lucky side, when my son went to obtain the fastpass for splash mt. someone gave him 2 passes for thunder mt. and being the gentleman he is said i could ride with my daughter and he would wait(i had suspicions that this kind jesture would cost me gift shop dollars later) no worries here, anything to help support the disney enterprise. philharmagic was great, well worth the wait. next we headed to BTM cause our little piece of paper said it was time. at this time the sky was becoming very unfriendly looking so we hurried it up. when we reached BTM they were making an announcement that the ride could be shut down at anytime due to an approaching storm. we sped thru the fastpass line at an amazing speed, hey, i like this, got to the ramp to board and it was looking questionable if we were going to get on and the cm gave the thumbs up for one more train, yeah, that was us. i love this ride. when we got off it was time for splash mt. but unfortunatly it was closed down and not looking to open anytime soon. darn. and we had a fastpass and everything. it started to rain and we ended up on POC and then headed over to COP which i like each time, then over to the webway. it was getting time for spectromagic and honestly i was fast loosing steam, i was so dead dog tired i couldn't see straight. i pulled up a piece of sidewalk outside one of the gift shops and leaned against my daughter and happily and sleepily watched as the parade went by. wishes was delayed 15 mins so we moved closer to the exit so we could make a quick exit with all the other tired and quick exiters. the fireworks were spectacular. now finally after a very long and exciting day i needed to get some much needed rest. we moved with the crowd to our bus stop and was at POR in no time. what a great and magical day. i drifted off into disney dreamland with a smile on my face.
