the day dawned early for me as i got up ready to get out and take on a whole day of a park. we deceided on epcot and i was really excited to go there as in all our previous visits epcot was the park i kind of rushed us through to get to another park. i wasn't really into being at epcot, but this trip i could hardly wait to explore all the things i've been overlooking for years. my kids were stunned that i actually wanted to go there and stay.we arrived at the gates around 9:30am and i sent the good 'ol son off to grab hold of those pesky papers known as a fastpass(i really am fastpass challenged) for test track while we headed over to ellen's universe of energy, i just call it the ellen ride. i get a kick out of this attraction and actually learn a thing or two each time. after ellen's ride our handy dandy paper told us it was time for test track so we headed over and breezed right on. my favorite part is the really fast section, it reminds me of how people drive a rental car while vacationing in fla. when we got off of this ride thats where my kids finally admitted out loud that i was a crazed fast pass challenged person because i insisted someone run ahead to obtain a FP for the boat ride in the land. they said we wouldn't need one i said the park brochure said that we did and hence a very big heated discussion ensued and after a few mom tantrums my daughter went to get one mumbling lots of not to nice things while my son looked at me like i had two heads but only long enough to say since we ditched his sister for a few minutes how about we hit a gift shop and get some stuff. when it comes to stuff he's the king of it.if its disney he needs it. when we met up with my none to happy daughter she had the passes in hand eye balling her brother's booty and glaring at me and pointing out that the boat ride didn't have one person in line to ride it thus far. what could i say? we ate a nice lunch and boarded our cruise thru food land, just the three of us, which i feared would be two of us if we came across a dark passageway and one of us suddenly disappeared. after that we did figment, cute, and no FP, then we bypassed canada in order to make the show for the british invasion. the show was nice, all 4 songs of it, the guys really sounded like the beatles and i could have listened for awhile longer. it started to rain during the show and as we headed over to france where we watched the presentation there. i love the american adventure and we were lucky enough to get there when the voices of liberty were singing. i especially felt even more patriotic since it was 2 days before the 4th. it was very hot out and we just kept walking till we got to norway, a ride i didn't send ahead for a FP since the fiasco of getting one for the land, we should of had one here though. we waited about 35 mins. or so, wasn't too bad. we all enjoyed the ride till the fates deceided to play a cruel trick on me. as i got up to exit the boat i could hear a thud and then a splash, oh nooooooo, not my cell phone. yes, gone to the dark watery depths of the norway ride. i grab a CM, please say you can retreive it, NOW, but alas they look at me sympathically and try to hook it out of its watery grave all the while as they make continous announcements about taking small cell phones firmly by the hand. people on the boats behind us were pointing and laughing at us, some were just pointing and i don't think i counted alot of fingers at this point as the ride was held up for about 10 long mins. the end result was no more cell phone. file a lost and found report and hope for the best. there could be no best here as the phone was fried and gone forever in norway. next stop, mexico and fiesta margarettas. i was less than enchanted on this boat ride and felt the urge to clutch my fanny pack to me all the more. after a few feeling sorry for me moments i shrugged it off. this is disney, who needs a cell phone anyway. on with the good times.on to the POR for the bob jackson show. on the way to cape may. opps, sorry, thats a different vacation.
