On our WDW trip in June we are planning on arriving in Orlando Sunday afternoon. That afternoon just planning on lounging at the house in the pool and unpacking. During the week we were planning on 2 days at Disney with 1 day at Typhoon Lagoon and then 2 days at Sea World. So 5 out of the 6 days are planned out and about. We will be leaving the following Sunday early morning (live 12 hours away & driving). We are traveling with family that consist of 6 adults and 5 children. The ages of the children are 9, 8, 6, 5 and 14 months old. Do you think this is too much to do in one week? Will the kids just be exhausted with too much to do? We rented a 5 bedroom house that has about everything including a heated pool and jacuzzi. Should we take more time at the house and rest and enjoy the pool? I don't want to be exhausted and I surely don't want the kids to be. What does everyone think?

Whether or not your planned schedule is too much will depend on a few things. Do you plan to do the parks from opening to closing or take a break during the day (or maybe just leave late afternoon and relax in the evening). It also depends on what type of pace you plan to set. If you go commando-style in the parks trying to see and do everything you possibly can, then yes, you will all be exhausted, but if you take your time and pace yourselves, I see nothing wrong with doing what you set out.

I do think you should leave a bit of time for swimming at the house, even if it is in the evening after you return from the parks. That shouldn't be a problem in June and its a great way to relax after a busy day on the go.

Personally, I wouldn't do the 2 days at Sea World. Rather spend the time at Disney - 2 days isn't nearly enough - but to each his own.

You can never plan too much!!LOL;)
I think you might want to add a day at Disney. Why only 2 days? If you have a pool at the house you rented then I would scratch the water park and use that day to either relax at the house and enjoy the pool, or do another day at Disney. There is soo much to see with 4 parks and everything else! Also since you are offsite and can't utelize early entry, you have to give yourself time to see what you want at the parks. Why 2 days at Sea World? I haven't been since I was a kid. Just curious if you really need 2 days there. Usually on our trips we like to plan an off day in the middle. I think it's great to have a plan but still be flexible.
I don't think you have planned too much to do. Just go at the kids pace. If you think they might need a break from all the stimulation then hop over to one of the resorts for a nice lunch. You can get to the parks early and stay until you think the kids have had enough and then go back to the house and relax by the pool. In the summer, with longer park hours, you can always go back to the parks after dinner.

I agree that two days of Sea World is not needed. Is there any reason that you are only doing two days of WDW? With four parks, you really need at least one day per park to even see a small part of WDW. Unless it is a major budget issue, i would plan for four of the days at least at WDW. Then plan out the days around that. I too think that with that many people, you can not over plan.

you can never plan to much we are only doing 1 day of sea world, and 1 day at universal i have not decided on islands of adventure yet

In my opinion I think that you should only spend on day at Sea World rather then the two. I think if the kids will go one the rides then that might take up some time to fill two days but my kids were 5 and 3 and couldnt or wouldnt go on the rides so the park was done in one day and time for dinner out in town.

As for the water if you have a pool at the house then I personally wouldnt go there. It might just be me though. But having the pool option at home would be plenty of water for me.

My kids and DH & I did each park in one day and we missed a lot (Good excuse to go back again this year).

As far as relaxing-one of the nice things about having so many people there is that you guys can come home for a rest and a nap and others can stay and enjoy then you can go back later and work it out that way.

My sister is bringing her grandchildren (She is only 43 and a LONG story there) and the grand kids are 5,4,3,2 & 6 month. I know my nephew & his new bride need to get second jobs or something like get a new hobby

She is planning on renting a 5 bedroom house and having us stay with them and my mom and a big happy family. :grouphug:

Which sounds wonderful in theory but I told her that we should plan some activities together and some apart. My kids are getting a little more adventurous and her kids this is the first trip so that needs are going to be different. So we have figured that we would devide and conquer and then feast after the end of the day at a character meal together. It takes strain off and allows for us to let my mom in on the important stuff because she doesnt want to go everyday to the parks.

I hope it helps.;)

I don't think you have planned too much. I'd also agree that you probably only need one day at Sea World. So you could do 3 days at the Disney Parks, 1 Day at Typhoon Lagoon and 1 Day at Sea World, with a rest day thrown in somewhere. I suggest that you don't do the 3 days at the Disney Parks all in a row - spread them out over the week as these days will be the most fatiguing - lots of walking.

Have fun whatever you do!

I would look into a 5 day park hopper pass (or maybe even 4) and then you'll have one day off in the middle of the week to rest, hang by the pool, etc. And you can go to al the different parks. It would save a lot of money over buying 2 Disney passes, 1 TL pass and 2 sea world passes for each person.
