Are we less likely to get our room request if we arrive after check in time?

We have always arrived way before 4:00 every trip but this trip we won't be there until around 7:00.
Are we less likely to get our room request or a bad location arriving later?

If you check in online, you'll get the room you were originally assigned, be it good or bad.

If you're counting on not checking in online, the room may get reassigned to someone squeaky - be it good or bad.

having never gotten close to our room request, I personally do not sweat it and just leave it to the mouse to decide.

We never arrive before midnight and we have had VERY good luck getting our requests. I do not use the online check-in request function, I much rather call and have them add it to my reservation and then follow it up with a fax 6 -7 days before check-in. The thing about being on DIS, you read about how many people ask to change their room, but I totally believe that 99% of people checking in keeps the room they get when they check-in.

We typically check in early (we've been lucky with room requests pretty much everywhere except BC - they seem to always give us the opposite of what I ask for), but we have arrived late at Pop loads of times (for one night stays before moving resorts) and always gotten our room request. Once we arrived late to CSR and got our request as well.

I put in our requests when I make the reservation, I use Touring Plans fax and when I check in online I leave the requests blank.

Ok thanks. I have always gotten pretty close to our request except BC also lol. I will have to leave the online check in request blank. I have added those when we go and I would say it probably makes it more confusing for them.
