This may be a strange question but I searched the forum and even checked out some guide-books and could not find the answer. Are water shoes or any other kind of sandals allowed on the slides or in the pools at Disney Water Parks?

you can wear them in the park but on the slides and most of the water attractions that go fast, they make you take them off.

Are they allowed in the children's areas? I'd rather my toddler didn't have to walk barefoot all day!

You can wear them everywhere just on the biggest attractions you have to take them off and hold them instead of wearing them and then at the bottom you can put them back on- your toddler shouldn't be going on this type of ride anyway.

When we were at Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon in June, we had our water shoes on for all the slides we went on (we did not do Humunga Kowabunga or Summit Plummet - too big of a drop for me!!) There were lots of kids in the kiddie area with water shoes too!

Have a great trip!

I have always worn water shoes on the the slides, although I don't do the real fast ones.

crocs worked great in the water parks.. so much more comfy than water shoes too!
