I am just curious if I should pack my kids rain gear (jacket/pants) when we go in December in case they want to go on Splash Mountain and the Grizzly Rapid rides.
The are open (unless closed for repair or refurbishment) and even have "winter" settings so you don't get as wet.

I was just going to say this! I just heard that on a Disneyland promotional movie that I watched on Netflix the other night. I think that is so cool.
How does this work? They slow down the drop on Splash???

Deffiently a ride to do WITH a poncho and right before you go back to the hotel for mid-day breakI shudder at the thought of riding GRR in the winter even with the lower water level; but if you like this ride, there's little wait!

So it's NOT just my imagination that Splash Mountain and GRR don't get one as wet in the winter as in the summer!

i didn't know this either! Makes me less afraid to ride the water rides in winter!
The movie I watched was pertaining directly to Grizzly River Run, so I'm not sure exactly how they do it on Splash. For GRR though they just reduce the water flow. You still get wet, just not as much.
Thanks for the info! BTW - what movie were you watching?
