If sailing round trip from a US port, with multiple ports of call in Caribbean, is it considered international travel? Travel insurance will ask country of destination and I've been told to us US since it's RT. Testing sites will ask if for international travel (then different test is needed).

Yes, a cruise to the Caribbean is an international trip. When checking rates for a trip they will ask you to indicate the countries that your cruise is visiting.

Yes. The ship itself is an international destination.

In regards to this, some health insurance plans do not cover care internationally and thus would not cover any care received in the health center onboard the ship, as it is considered an international destination (registered in the Bahamas). This is why a lot of people get travel insurance.

yes - you will be leaving US territorial waters, and the ship itself is not considered US territory.

For testing, just tell testing site you need a PCR or NAAT test. That is technically different from a lot of international travel which only accepts PCR. Antigen test are not accepted by either DCL or other countries.
